Crate Motor classes clarification

M.C.R. Crate Motor Classes update

With I.H.R.A.‘s recent elimination of the Stock/Super Stock classes, the M.C.R. Board of Directors is posting this clarification on the Crate Motor classes at M.C.R. events.

After discussions with the other Stock/Super Stock organizations around the country, here are the important points we’d like to clarify:

- Midwest Class Racers allows the I.R.H.A. Crate Motor classes to compete with the traditional Stock and Super Stock classes in our combo races.

- At an I.H.R.A. sanctioned track, we will continue to use the I.H.R.A. indexes.

- If a car fits in an N.H.R.A. class, that’s what the car will be classified as. For example, I.H.R.A. separated the fuel injected cars from the carbureted cars while N.H.R.A. does not.

- M.C.R. believes strongly in the ‘performance based’ aspect of Stock and Super Stock. Two cars of the same class meeting in eliminations will be run heads up and both cars scaled after the run.

As always, feel free to directly contact any of the M.C.R. Board for clarification. If you like, you can post a question and we can either answer it here or contact you directly.

Best of luck to all our sponsors with the rest of your 2018 season!
