Connecting Rods
Is there anyone experimenting with using a shorter connecting rod length pros / cons
Time the piston dwells @ TDC and BDC ??!! |
BAD 503, YOU NOTICE THE SILENCE ON THIS QUESTION!!!! IT MUST BE WORTH INVESTIGATING........ |
Yea, It's worth something... A big D.Q. in Stock & Super Stock the rods have to be: Length tolerances are +/- .025" from rod lengths shown in NHRA Tech Bulletins that is taken from the NHRA site on NHRA accepted Rods
Could this be the reason for the lack of answers to your question? |

David Reher of Reher & Morrison has written some information on their findings with pro stock motors, maybe you can find it. wprater |

I can't remember where I read it, but I believe David Reher's position is that the best connecting rod is the one that fits.

A lot of incorrect information on this article. The choice rod length is dictated by the deck height, angle and width of the block. |
