LVD Up-date

7:15am
Just got off the phone with Board members at the track
Currently NOT raining at Lebanon Valley,
Long range forecast looks like rain to arrive later in the day.

Announcement from the track is to open!

Looks like schedule will be for 1 Time-trial and got right into Eliminations.

Here's a quick report from lvd. we had 17 cars turnout in spite of the weather forcast. The race was finished in time with T.J. Boucher. taking the win over Al Mark in the final. The lvd crew had to turn up the wick today with just 1 time trial, and right into eliminations. but still made time to drag the track right before first round. I'm sure some others will give more details soon.

There was rain as close as 3 miles away, but it stayed dry all day. Thank you to the racers that made the commitement and got to race. Congrats to TJ for his third win and Al for his runnerup.

With 5 cars left, Al Mark beat Gregg Southerland, TJ Boucher beat myself, and Lee Valentine had the single. Al beat Lee in the semi's and TJ had the single into the final. In the final, Al redlit to TJ

It should be noted that the track did a great job getting this in and even though we only had 17 cars, they paid the full purse. Thanks to Howard, Wayne and the entire staff.

On a concerning note, longtime tech official at Lebanon, Paul Roberts, has some serious health issues. Paul has worked at the drag strip since the 60's and lately only works on an occasional Saturday. He still works regularly at the oval track. Please keep Paul in your thoughts and prayers.

Congratulations T.J. and Al, you guys are having one heck of a season!!!!

Today was a tough call, but at least for the racers who made the trip it was worth while.

The payout checks for the New England races will be sent tomorrow.

Congrats to TJ and AL!!

BOD and Track officials did a great job getting the race completed. As Dave said rain was close by. The ride home starting at the 45MPH speed limit just down the road on route 20 was wet.

Qudos to Wayne Delmonte & the entire LVD crew for they're attention to track conditions and they're ability to "beat the weather" to get this race in.
After each round I saw how Wayne followed the "rain path" and how he and his staff reacted as it approached the area.

Congrats to Tj Boucher for his 3rd win of the year & to "BIG" Al Mark for his runner-up
(someone find Al a job, this retirement thing is causing some problems LOL)
