Goodyear 4457 Radial

156 runs and counting! Tom Losket checked the tread depth at 153 runs and it checked 4/32". Best 60' 1.29, in my A/SA @ 3410 lbs. 550+ Ft./lbs. torque.

It's the best tire I have ever had on my car, and it looks like it will be the cheapest.

Wow, that's impressive. Can I ask about your burnout technique ?

X2 on the burnout ...

I'll be looking for a new set after this next divisional, might give them a try.

I try to keep wheel speed low, second gear only, so the tire remains as flat as possible and the tire does not crown. Start at 5700 and as the tires clean it will start to drag the engine down below 5600 let go of line lock and ease out of the water while slowly reducing power.

How often are you swapping side to side?

Larry,

A couple more questions since you seem to be in answer mode.

1. How wide a wheel do you use?
2. Are they mounted tubeless?
3. Approximately what air pressure do you run?
4. Do the tires leak air between races?

Thanks in advance.

I have them on both of my COPO Camaros and love them. These are my answers to your questions.

1. How wide a wheel do you use? 10"
2. Are they mounted tubeless? Yes
3. Approximately what air pressure do you run? 19 PSI
4. Do the tires leak air between races? No

Larry

1. 9'' or 10'' I have both, never know when a flat might happen.

2. yes

3. 20 lbs.

4. little if any.

5. Very little rubber sticks to the car, most of it brushes off quite easily.

Re: Goodyear 4457 Radial

I am thinking this may be my next tire choice.

What is the cross section width on a 10" rim?

Thanks
