Radials

Did a little bit of searching on here but couldn't quite find the right answer. Any bracket racers running the Mickey Thompson or Hoosier radials? I have an S10 I was trying to fill up the fender wells with a 14-in slick but the Hoosier tires I bought with the wheels have a 2-in bulge. I know the radials have a lot less bulge, but I haven't talked to too many people who have tried them successfully.

Always check the section width of the slick if your tight on clearance. I liked the Hoosier # 18239 31.5/13.5-15 Radial. Tread width is 13.5 & Sec. width is 16.3". Best to use a 14" wide rim.

I'm going to do some more measuring but that was the tire I was looking at.

This is the tire I run on my super stock car. Good tire. Hooks good. good life. I would give them a try.

I would but I have the wrong backspace. I bought some MT 10.5x33x15Ws,they fit exactly flush to outside fender.I needed 5 1/2 B's and screwed up somehow 🤔

I’ve had stellar results with MT’s PBR. I’ve been running the 28x9 for a few years. Now in the midst of some work to make room for more tire, and will be running the PBR in a 29.5 x 10.5 moving forward. I also have a number of buddies that love the nPBR; one of them recently tried a Hoosier radial, and says he lost half a tenth somehow (???), but is seeing similar consistency.

I have been running the Mickey Thompson Pro Bracket Radial 29.5x10.5 for 3 years. I got over 180 runs on the first set. When I brought them over to the Mickey Thompson trailer, they asked why I wanted new ones. I said I had almost 150 runs on them, they asked if they were still hooking ok, I said yes, they said, "Run them till the cords show, or you start seeing your 60 foot change." I ran them for another month, then bought a new set just because they had over 180 runs on them. BEST hooking tire I have ever used. Soon as I installed them, 60 foot went from 1.46-1.50 down to 1.37-1.40. Car used to roll over the tire and porpoise 2-3 times before hooking. Now its doing 2-3 foot wheel stands! This is the ONLY tire I will use on my combination. It is a stiff side wall tire. I do not use tubes, and they are not screwed to the tire. Also, I've only had to add air to them a couple of times throughout the season, they do not move as far as pressure goes. Mickey Thompson said they know cars that have over 250 runs on these tires.

How much Air do you run in the big Radials.

Our Superstock car has been as low as 13 and as high as 19.

I keep raising the pressure and my son keeps lowering it!
