IHRA Class racing in 2018
 

:):):) Just some thoughts here...for us...this is not real good news...we have tried to support/race the IHRA series over last several years...it made sense to us for limited travel...double race events...from base of Charlotte...enjoyed the "racer friendly" atmosphere of staff/events...surely have raced in the NHRA program for lots of years...in northeast region of country...not TERRIBLY excited about that on the horizon...BUT it is...what it is...OR...what it will be !!!...ok...here's the "thoughts"..CCRA has truly a really good group of racers top to bottom...do we assume a re-active posture to the above quandary...OR do we move forward...in a pro-active stance...hence attempt to "book" more races...say 12-16 (6-8 double events)...???...truly have a viable points system ($) in place...from outset...step up promotional/professional efforts considerably...???...fully understanding the "task" of that requires a lot of time-effort...or do we just go along as we are currently "roll"...4 or so annual double events...and leave the rest to take care of itself (it won't of course)...SO...I welcome ALL/ANY thoughts about all this...you are welcome to simply tell this old man..."back away from keyboard"...lol...fully understood...it's either a opportunity to expand CCRA going forward...OR...just kinda' sit back...and "see" what happens...we have genuine regard for ALL bracket racers...personally...just choose not too...we have two "middle of the pack" cars...would like to get "plans" in order...for 2018...at least initiated...the last 50+ years that family has been @ this...apparently...NOTHING to do with what is in "place" NOW for 2018...!!!...we have developed heartfelt feelings about Stock-Super/Stock racing...over last years...CCRA group as a whole...in a word...SPECIAL...old adage...for every obstacle...there's a SOLUTION...imagine that...:):):) Drake

With IHRA gone, it's time to fully support our CCRA. We have always had a great group of racers as Drake has said and as Tracy has said all IHRA combos still participate. The purse with a stout car count is always better than any divisional. Let's have those 40 to 50 cars out there to support our last 2 weekends this season ! ������������
