Winter Storage Suggestions

I've been told to use Moth Balls and Dryer sheets in a vehicle stored in the trailer over the winter to keep mice out? True or False?

What other suggestions are there for winter storage?

Re: Winter Storage Suggestions

Greg,

We placed rat and mice poison that are green bricks all around our 57 Chevy when it was stored. I placed some in the engine compartment, and on the floor board on a plate to protect the carpet. We never had any damage in the 3 years it sat in my aunts shop. Mice were definitely present in the building as this was in the country. My dad did the same when it was stored in his garage, never any damage. This is a fully restored car, so it has lots of good eating for the varmints!

Mouse traps with peanut butter and sunflower seeds. We have lot's of mouse problems but they can't get into the enclosed trailer. If you put a roll of toilet paper on the floor they should chew that before the seats, let's you know if they'r in the car. ---Trevor
