hot lick on tires
 

anybody got a suggestion on tires? in the market for some new tires on my comp style street roadster.I just run it in bracket mode right now. have a 14x31 DO5 Hoosier right now and they have worked well but even with low tire pressures it seems to bounce more on the tire than work the chassis. thanks for your suggestions. We have had great luck with the Goodyear radial # 4461 (32x14) on our super modified cars. Don't know if a radial would work or not but even the bias ply tire I have heard is just as good.

Now that my Super/Mod is done,how about input on tires again.At PRI,some of the guys like the radials but agree that they are not consistent but are great qualifiers.Bias plys with tubes seem to be the talk.......who's got some idea's?

Don't know who you are talking to but no one has used tubes since the dark ages...

yah Jim that's kinda what I thought too. I quit using tubes in 78 . I was talking to some east coast comp guys and they have been testing tires with tubes.I didn't believe it either but after talking to them,they could be on to something.
