'69 Camaro out of 40 year retirement !

Here's a "barn find" that was never lost.
Walter and Ann Toews L.A.W. Automotive '69 Camaro convertible Super Stocker is returning to compete in Stock eliminator after a 40 year "rest".
Walter ,Ann and son in law Todd Hoven have been updating the suspension and I just completed a new roll bar to replace the old Lakewood 3 point bar and some other updates.
Plans call for a 350 2bbl combo to compete in N/SA.
Still looks great with 46 year old paint and original Cragars on it !

Happy to see my old friends getting a car back out there.

I've known them for nearly 50 years and nicer people you could not meet or know.....

I don't recall this car....maybe it was white once ?

Walter and Anne were at E-Town in June and said they were planning to do this....

2 Barrel ??? Billy your a bad influence....LOL

Stick a Q-jet on there...please !!!

Billy , I really enjoyed doing this car. Great people with a love for the sport !
First Camaro I did a rollbar and frame connectors on in a long time that was not a rust bucket !
Rich ,This Camaro replaced the white one which was wrecked ,I believe in '71 in a towing accident .

Rich, 4 bbl, H, I , and J/SA Lots of $$$$$ and less fun

2 bbl, N, O and P , less $$$= more fun
I'd run it in P/SA

Welcome back!

Tom, a bit easier putting a bar in a ragtop than a steel top huh?

Yes Mark I understand....I was just joking with Billy....

The 2 barrel is tougher to dial and race I would think but it is easier than having to race the 4 barrel classes......and run into many fast cars there.

The 20% premise would look good on that combo.

The 2bbl is the larger variety that is allowed exclusively on these 69 350's basically a 255hp rated about 40 less then a 255hp 350. It should run real well and be pretty dialable. I can't wait to watch this car go down the track. It's a real time capsule.

They have also bought some good parts to go in it as well. An ATI converter, a brand new 200 from Sepanek. Wildwood front disc brakes from my car and a Mark Williams 8.5 ten bolt rear that was in my car back in the 70's. Just need to decide on the wheels. Super Tricks, or Motor Wheel Flys. Unless they want something different all together.

Tom you have done a great job on car, that exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you for your caring and enthusiasm on the project.
