What class will this car fit?

I have a 2013 Mustang 302 N/A car that is FS/E in Nhra. If I show up at the Norwalk race with it what class will I run? Do I need to be a member in order to race?

yes you do need to be a member if it is a sanctioned NHRA event. You mentioned the class already, so I do not understand that.

Do you have the proper roll cage and other items that would make you legal for the track?

I meant do I need to be a member of NMCA to race at thier events. The car is certified to go as quick as 8.50.

Mike, give Dennis Breeden a shout, he could tell you about being a member or not. As far as what class, there were a few running the S/SS combo running same class as NHRA. Dennis Breeden, Ricky Pennington, Randy Eakins, and Jim Bailey were just a few that were at Bowling Green NMCA race.

Mike, here is a link to the rules for the new Stock/Super Stock Class for this year. As your car is naturally-aspirated, there should no issues for you being able to race at an NMCA/NMRA event.

If you need more information concerning NMCA membership or using your NHRA/IHRA permanent number in competition, you should call Jamie Fasbender @ (714) 444-2426 ext. 118. She can get you signed up and answer all of your questions!

Good Luck at Norwalk!!

Mike, your car will run the same NMCA class and index as NHRA. You will have to join NMCA, I think it was $45.00. But, before you complain - check out the pay back! Great people to race for. Fantastic contingency program ( you'll have all your checks in less than a month, and you won't have to chase anybody.) The whole program reminds me of racing IHRA when Bill Bader ran the deal. As I've said before, " It's very refreshing." And as good of competition as you'll ever run against.- Jim -

Thanks Jim. Looks like I will be showing up there. Everyone seems to like their program more than NHRA. Not hard to figure.

I ran the Bowling Green combo race and requested a one-race waiver on the NMCA membership and Rollie Miller granted it.

Not sure if me being a NMRA member helped or not.

You should ask. He may grant it

Mike Fuller if you want to race Norwalk and see what our program is like we will grant you a one race membership waiver. Just ask for me at the Registration Trailer.

Thanks for your interest
