Q/stock or P/stock

I'm thinking of trying a Q or P stocker using a 2.3 turbo charged t bird it's rated at 190 hp and the weight in Q is 3242 has anyone tried this or am I #%**^%# crazy . It come in at the bottom of the class as far as weight . Any feed back will be appreciated. Just a shout out to Tony Massari D/FWD stock.

Ask ALMACK on this forum, he currently holds the Q record in one I believe.

Tony is a great guy, helped me out a ton on my ill-fated Buick build.

Vinnie:
As Bob mentioned above, Ken Robinson ( on this board) has a 1987 (or '88) Turbo Coupe for sale.

From my personal experience, buying a turn key proven combo gets you into the game quicker, so you might want to contact him on this board.

There also is Marc Kinton ( I believe in the Carolinas) that runs the 87-88 TC combo. He also is a member on this board. Last I heard he works with Mike Ismay on that TC.
He holds the IHRA 1/4 and 1/8th records.

I am looking into building my '87 TC for stock and moving the '86 TC to Super Stock.

edit:
forgot to mention that you should have no problem getting weight out of the TC to fit the class.
There are a bunch of things in the '87-'88 models that are not required in Stock Eliminator.
I stripped my '87 TC down ten years ago to fit Stock rules, and I was amazed at how much electronics stuff there was.
Had about 40 lbs of wiring that I took out.
