'64 Comet SS/MA front suspension
I am building a new chassis and wondered if anyone can help with a few questions on front suspension components, I would assume that the '65 Mustang components are similar:
Does the Strange front brake assy fit? Their application sheet implies that it will fit a Mustang but I am skeptical as they imply that the same kit fits a '66 & '67 which I know is not the same. Wilwood says they have a kit but their site says the hubs are 3/8" wider than stock, there is minimal room for tires as it is so that doesn't seem desirable. What is the best front spring? This is an iron head 289 combo. Does anyone make a better A arm bushing kit? Who makes a good front shock for this application? Jim Caughlin SS 6019 |
Re: '64 Comet SS/MA front suspension
I would talk to Dave Goldie, at QA-1. He's raced a first-gen Mustang for years, and his company sells suspension kits and parts for Mustangs and other brands. I think he'll help.
