1955 Chevrolet Q/SA Build
2 Attachment(s)
Have been working on this for most of the year.Actually started the motor build last year.It is a 180/197 HP 265.I originally was building a 4 door ,but it is being held hostage in a local body shop.A friend had this pretty solid 2dr that he purchased from a 95 year old gentlemen. He offered it up to me so I could get some runs on it this year.Have had the car out a couple of times and with a not loose enough convertor, and not enough rear gear have been able to run a 13.49 at 97 mph on the Q/SA index of 13.85.Hope to get it to the Earlville points race after Indy for its first taste of NHRA action. Will be picking up a new convertor at Indy, and hope to have it in before Earlville. Will race this car at a few opens,Nostalgia events, and will continue to race the Buicks at National events. Will post more pictures later.

Great looking 55, I bet those aluminum slot wheels are about as light as most "modern" wheels, and really suit that car.
