Well it has been a long winter, but we are back out on the road! We left Saturday in the rain and got to Houma on Sunday and spent a few days with Jeff and Carolyn Teuton. We drove up here to Belle Rose this morning and we are parked and ready for a great weekend of racing. It is 80 degrees now and overcast. Parking seems to be going smoothly~ Test and tune this afternoon. More later!!

Great to have you guys back on here. I always love the reporting and the photos of your journey. Hope you had a great holiday season and spent it with lots of family and friends.

Frank, quite a few TD and TS were testing and a few others. Larry made 2 runs but you could have gotten as many as you would have liked. It appears to be lots of cars here. We will know tomorrow . People are still pulling in tonight. Weather for the weekend looks great. 79s during the day and 50s at night! I only took a couple of pics today. Will try to post more tomorrow

Weather 58* 87% 30.16 It could be fast.

I saw a few Showdown type cars here yesterday.

According to Pat, Mr. Garrison is here. That is always good news.

A few were complaining of the poor fit of some of the trans shields have.

No Larry is not driving the Drag Pak. Still not ready. But the pink car is here!! 58 degrees here this morning after high 70s yesterday. This morning should be fast!! Stock starts off at 9 so I will have more info after then!

Nothing on LiveTiming yet but hopefully they will get it going soon....particularly interested to see if perhaps Turk or others are there trying for a "seven". The heavy hitters didn't show for Orlando but the forecast was for less than ideal conditions.

39 or so stockers made the first hit. Some in wrong class. Last # on scoreboard not showing. Scoreboard not very bright and hard to read so I am not very sure of numbers I wrote down. There was a black Copo that I don’t know that got way up and then came down hard and I saw them picking up small parts off track afterwards.

Well it is a beautiful day down here in the Bayou!! Super stock just finished their 3rd qualifying run. We all get 4 runs total. So 2 more today for us. This is the first time that I can remember that either Stock or Super Street was not the first thing down the track. We run after Super Comp this morning which is perfect since they put rubber down for our little tires! Weather is going to be perfect today, too. 73 and sunny!! It is 62 now, a little cool, but nice!

LOTS of EXTREMELY unhappy stock eliminator racers over this decision!

Stock was in the lanes paired up, suited up, next on track when the decision was made. Adding to it, stock was bumped in the run order, which put the situation to where it was.

I don’t know the reasoning. It was only about 6:30 when it happened. The lights were already on. Maybe they figured they could save on the electric bill if they didn’t have to leave them on another hour!

We have already been called to the lanes this morning. Another beautiful day here. 60 now, going up to 74 this afternoon with lots of sunshine .
