Drum to disk brake conversion
I am ready to convert my car from all drums to all disk brakes. Any suggestions for a kit. I would prefer to get a kit that has everything so I know it is all set up to work together. Don't really want to experiment with brakes.
Thanks John Its a 1970 Nova I/SA |

I had great luck with Master Power Brake
https://www.mpbrakes.com They are friendly and knowledgeable. you may want to consider upgrading your drum brakes |
Re: Drum to disk brake conversion
Strange makes front and rear kits that are light and work very well, Wilwood race brakes are good too. Just two suggestions.

I like the Strange products.

Re: Drum to disk brake conversion
What front Wilwood brakes are people with heavier cars using? The race ones I have found all top out at 2800 pounds.
Thanks John |

I've got the strange ones on my Nova and one of our Oldsmobiles. Really like them.

Strange S series front and rear on my 3300 lb. Mustang. Stuck with a power MC and it stages and stops on a proverbial $0.10. Switched over from Wilwood street brakes.

Re: Drum to disk brake conversion
When I converted my car from drums to disc brakes I used Aerospace. The brakes fit perfectly and worked perfectly too. No drag issues at all. Stopping power is way better than the drums ever were. also was about a 60 lb. weight reduction. Every bolt and nut came with the kit. The only thing I had to do was get the appropriate braided stainless lines to connect the calipers to my existing system.

I really like the Aerospace kit as well. Easy to install and as Mike said everything included in the kit and easy to follow instructions as well.
