Track cond. at Indy
 

Well winter is back for us in Chicago. How do you think the track will be for us at Indy? Looks like low 20's possible teens at nite. And mid 40's during the day,with some rain leading up to the race weekend. Have they even ran there this year yet?

Why do they run this race in April? Has it ever been completed without some weather related problem?

Hopefully they won't have to stop the action for 3 hours to scrape the track again.

If they schedule this a few weeks later then it goes off without a hitch.

You have pull, get on the phone to Jay. I'm sure this can be moved into May...

Amazingly the track was good Sunday. Looks like the warmer weather is supposed to come back Tuesdaay or Wednesday. IRP strike that, "ORP" usually sucks this time a year. Sunday we had one run that had a little questionable 60' time other then that down track it was very good.

Hey Brian, Did they run 1/8th mile or 1/4 mile?

We are going to go from winter to summer again. What ever happened to our four seasons? Spring it's not a bad word is it?

Mike as Greg said, 1/8th mile racing. We did run the car out and it seemed pretty good down track. Amazingly with the wind we had the car didn't really move much.
Found my Gremlin I had problems with last year "MSD box" Car went out and went lazy, thought it was fuel or converter. Changed the converter and put the Hughes in it I had done, changed the fuel system last year.
Changed the box after the first pass this year and bingo bad box. Fortunatly Bakers carries every part I need. lol
Are you going to have the car done?

lOOKS LIKE THE RAIN IS GOING TO BE MOVING IN NOW. THIS RACE NEEDS TO BE MOVED TO THE END OF THE MONTH LIKE IT WAS IN YEARS PAST. WE HAVE SNOW MOVING IN ON TUESDAY NITE AND THE WEATHER MAN SAID WE MIGHT NEED THE SHOVEL.

Brian, Well I won't have to decide if I'm going to sit in the rain or not, Unfortunately the dragster isn't done and since the old one sold I will be sitting on the sidelines watching Dad - He is in awe of his new ride, I've never seen him so happy about a car. Wait till you see him and his opel. See you guys soon! and doesn't look like it will be next weekend ....
