Which Powerglide Trans Filter?

What are people using these days for a trans filter? If using a stock type, what vehicle application is it listed under at the local parts store?

Thanks,

WE USE THE FILTER THAT LOOKS LIKE REAL FINE NYLON? MESH SORT OF AS FINE AS PANTYHOSE----WE HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THE FIBER? (LOOKS LIKE COTTON) GETS SATURATED AND PLUGS UP TOO EASILY---NO SPECIFIC AUTO/YEAR APPLICATION--YOU JUST HAVE TO LOOK AT THE FILTERS--MAYBE GO TO A TRANS SHOP SEE WHAT THEY HAVE---sorry for the caps we type everything in CAPS at work---forgot to turn it off!!!! The OE type works fine for most PG applications. .....NAPA has the OE bronze screen type , P/N ATP13998. ....About $4, It's what almost every trans mfgr. uses except for the pan kits that relocate the filter rearward and use an early Torque flite filter.....I also avoid the fiber type filter, altho some mfgrs. recommend them for use with aluminum drums . ............Tom

Yes, the bronze screen filters work great. I even clean and re-use them.
