AC Delco Seal Tabs
Anyone using these? They are placed in a water passage of an engine during assembly and dissolve when water is added? Was shown these things yesterday but had never seen them before.

Re: AC Delco Seal Tabs
Had, and used, a couple of packages of them when I had the Buick. Wanted to make sure I didn't have to yank the heater core.

Re: AC Delco Seal Tabs
Brian,
the Delco tabs are a good product. In addition to the method you mentioned they can be put into any cooling system at any time. The tabs were developed for the North Star Cadallic aluminum blocks which leaked around the head studs. |
Re: AC Delco Seal Tabs
I have used them many times over the years for weaping headgaskets and heads. The PN is #10953473

Re: AC Delco Seal Tabs
The GM "horse pills" saved my butt many times when I ran welded GM 074 castings.
Subaru also has a sealer that works amazingly well and its cheap, about $1.50 for a 3 oz bottle. they call it a "conditioner" but it really works on leaky heads and since its a liquid ,it doesn't block up the rad passages. |
Re: AC Delco Seal Tabs
Will try them then on the new engine we are about to finish.
