Richmond pro gear life?

How many runs can I expect from a set of Richmond pro gears?
The car is a 67 Camaro stick car, 9" w/5:14 gears, 3200lbs.
I put 100 runs on them this year.
I'm wondering if I should replace them this winter or use them for another season.
A visual inspection shows normal wear, nothing that would cause me to suspect any problem.

Thanks,

I'd think you could expect 300+ runs.

Listen for the noise on coast down when it starts laying the teeth over....

With a stick car I wouldn't go over 150 to 200 runs.
I check mine every 50 to 75 runs to be on the safe side

What rear end do you have? I`ve had the same set of Richmond 4.88 Pro gears in my 3100 lb Fairmont bracket car for 6 years, and when I inspected them at the beginning of this season, they still looked fine. The car has a 428FE, Jerico 4 speed and Dana 60, runs 10.0`s @132mph, and has gone 1.29 69 foots.

Thanks for the responses. Bill, I am in York, PA also.
Rory, It's a Ford 9" I'm asking because I only got about 50 runs from a standard Richmond gear-set before breaking of some teeth. This is my first set of PRO gears and was not sure what to expect.
The car runs 10.51 @ 127mph with 1.47 60'
500hp. 350ci. Jerico DR-4(broken)
Thanks again,

8620 sets, or "street gears", will break easily from shock loading, especially if you use the recommended backlash setting, they last longer with near zero backlash.....
9310 gears are "softer", they bend before they break off.
Usually you'll start getting noises when the teeth start laying over.

I would have the cover off at 150 passes to inspect them.

Thanks again,

Sounds like too much clutch to me!
I run a Dana 60. I once placed a set of used pro-gear 4.88's in it from a 426 Max-Wedge 4-speed record holding A/S car. Those gears had over 500 runs on them. I added another few hundred before changing to a different ratio. Still look perfect!
