a lighter battery
I'm going to need a new battery for my 67 Camaro Stocker next year. Want to shed some front end weight; is there a light weight, 12 volt battery on the market that is better than the rest?

Re: a lighter battery
Don't know about better than the rest, but we have used this Braille for over three years now without issue in our E/SA '67 Camaro.

Batterymart.com
Odyssey brand non MJ (Metal Jacket) style are lighter. A PC925 actually weighs 24lbs not the advertised 26, that's with the box for shipping. $154 shipped. I have been running these for the past 10 years without a failure and replace them every 2 years as a maintenance item. Sean |
Re: a lighter battery
If you wanted to lose a LOT of weight you could go with a Lithium battery. Pretty spendy at $379, but it only weighs 4 pounds! Made in Colorado.

Re: a lighter battery
I use a wheel chair battery that is dimensionally small and has quick recharge
Interstate batteries 35 AH rating 22 pounds DD Has been in 3 seasons |
Re: a lighter battery
I mounted a Braille in our Dakota Stocker this time last year and it worked fine this summer in some higher than normal summer days - the only thing I noticed with it was I had to continually tighten the top post adapters all summer till they finally seemed to seat but over all between tire/wheel combo and the battery we moved 44 lbs - just my $.02
