New Guy Here

Hi all,
I've been a member here since April and so far have only been reading through some posts. I am a bracket racer and figured I could learn something from the racers on this site. :)

It is a '66, originally a 361 car. Bought it in '89, been a race car only since '97. I run a .030 over 440/727 combo, best ET at LVMS (home track) is a 10.58@126 , best 60ft - 1.45, 3650 lbs w / driver.... be kind.

I have a 67 street/strip coronet. my parents bought it new. I built a 340 stroker and a 727 set it up like a stocker, all of calvets stuff. on m/t et radials it runs 11.50's. I do like those cars, you don't see many of them.
anyway, shouldn't you be at the nhra event there this week?

I'll be there but only as a spectator, don't have any money to play with the car as of late, it will still be nice to be out at the track.

Welcome aboard, we need more mopar folks here...LOL.

Dwight Machael (pronounced like the girls name michelle, except with an "a" instead of an "I") has a 66 Hemi Coronet, A/SA at LVMS this week end. He broke early so he might not be there now. Look for him in the pits, and say hi....he is a great big guy.....and a great guy and friend. Mention my name, it's OK. LOL Dwight also races a B/SA 62 Belvedere, Max Wedge.

Yep, that is Dwight....a short story about him...I hope he doesn't mind...He was a Huey pilot in Viet Nam and went down 3 times...You would never guess that now by seeing him...Dwight is an absolute good guy, veteran, and patriot. You will never meet a better guy.

PS. I have never met you, but if you have long hair, tatoos, and ear rings.....Dwight won't have much time for ya. LOL (neither will I)

I met him at MATS a few years back, I think his son was driving the car they were both very nice and gave me a few tips. He told me that the car 60 ft's in the mid 1.30's - I'd like to get mine there. Don't worry - no tats, ear rings, long hair or even backwards ball caps here!

Do you know John Irving?

Again welcome aboard.....It is advisable that you include you name in your signature.....You will notice that most folks include their signature.... So many web sites have folks hiding behind a screen name....please don't do that here...

Don't worry about posting your name....I've been doing it for years and no one has tried to hunt me down..... I'm just kidding of course.... but, posting your name on this forum is a good thing... I guess, you just have to trust a fellow mopar racer.
