Atlanta oil fine
Anyone hear from Mark Faul about being fined for an oil leak on the starting line. FINED BUT NOT SUSPENDED?
woodro josey I miss Buster Couch and Lex Dudas. |
did they stop him from making the pass?????

Just heard from a friend in Atlanta that Chuck Trotter's S/G truck had a leak after his burnout. Never staged the truck, but was informed that he would be fined.
Possible future announcements, "Fines will be levied to all sportsman cars that deposit liquids on the surface of the staging lanes within 100 feet of said burnout area" Ron Ortiz U/SA I gotta take a leak. |
Will the same thing and penalties apply to any PRO racers ???????
|
Are we talking major leak, or a drop or two ?
|
That there is now income received for cleaning the starting line implies a pristine starting line existed before any oil-down . It also implies the starting line is perfection after any cleaning.
Did your car get squirrley? Did you spin your tires on your run? Did you fail to qualify? Sounds like some civil litigation is in order. |
Is this rule in effect for Nat's and divisional race's.
|
I'm pretty sure the fines are only given out at NHRA national events anyone else know for sure???

I did drop a little oil from a valve cover leak. It was about a 2 minute clean up, but any time the equipment rolls, there will be a fine. Talk about pressure, the next pass if you leak, it's $500
