Re: NHRA to allow any accepted engine/body combination in Pr
The irony of all this is F/X started off the same way being supported by the factories as a no-holds barred racing campaign before things got crazy later in the 60s when they became "funny". So by 1969 Pro Stock evolves the same way, from S and SS where some of the original F/X guys turned to because of Detroit backing and were looking for another "outlaw" showcase to help them sell REAL cars. Sadly, PS has morphed into a second funny car class...except slower, powered by gas, and normally aspirated. My question is, if casual fans are paying to see nitro, why would they hang around to watch the slower "gas funny cars"? It's become a joke in my opinion.

At least there have been numerous different event champs so far this season. My "guy" has not won yet however.

Re: NHRA to allow any accepted engine/body combination in Pr
NHRA just gave ProStock a brand new rope to hang themselves. Well, there won't be any lawsuits like the ProStock truck class when ProStock fades away. With this rule, ProStock will hang itself and NHRA will just stand back and watch.
