Does it make any difference to buy one pre-made or have it custom fitted? Dan |
Re: Stocker Roll Bar
Dan, I've used pre made kits from S&W and had good luck. Make sure the bar is installed as per the rule book.

Both of my Stockers have S&W kits. Very pleased with their quality and customer service. One thing I did find out after installing the kit in my 2009 Stocker : If I had special ordered a "relaxed fit" main hoop cross bar with a 2-3 inch set back ( instead of the normal straight piece) then my seats could have reclined further back. I did not know this until after I installed the kit. Being a novice at roll bar installations, I can now see why chassis shops charge so much. To fit things right it takes a lot of time |

Would like a Roll Bar setup where you can get out of the Seat easily without being Gumby ! Also be able to sit in the back seat. Thanks Dan |

here are the pics of the 09 Mustang. Because the seat back did not lean back to it's normal position, I had to "flip" the head rests...otherwise with a helmet on there's no way I'd be comfortable. I may still cut the cross bar out and install a 2" setback version Also, I think it may be tough to make it easy to sit in the back seat by following the current rules regarding roll bars. I tried to crawl under mine. Going over would be easier if I needed to. I do like the fact that I can remove any of my seats easily :) https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...3a&oe=5B4875CB https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...c7&oe=5B424BEE https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...78&oe=5B40C28F |
