C-3 Corvette in SS/GT
 

Attention Billy Nees!! Why are there no C-3 Corvettes in SS/GT?? I have gone over the rulebook in that category and found no reason to leave them out but I have never seen one at the races or on an entry list. There is probably some NHRA "anti Corvette rule" somewhere that I am too stupid to find. TT

Tom, at some point the guide eliminated the restriction on sports cars in the GT classes. Sports cars that are in the guide can now run in GT. Evidence is John Stock’s GT Cobra Jet.

One pit fall may be that classification must be made using the heaviest engine available for year model used. Hence heavier car may make it less desirable for some. They could probably make a good FGT with a supercharged LS in it. You know that might be a lot fun.

Hello All
Bob Bagley ran my 68 Corvette in GT/HA in D1 when he owned it for a couple years.
I'll have to ask him if he remembers what weight he ran the car at. I know he added weight, but I didn't think it was that much.
Presently it is running SS/HA, but it cannot compete with the FI cars going .3 to .6 faster, by accident.
O well it is still a fun car.

Just a 1st rd Duck looking for a win.

I tried to read and understand the SS /GT class from the guide. Maybe someone can help out on this.

Was the Armstrong car in GT a couple years ago? Currently SS/AA I believe. Love watching that Vette launch.
