Super gas/comp/Street forums?

Are there any more forums out there for throttlestop racing? This appears to be more of a super stock/stock forum

Super Street is a very competitive class and a lot of racers won't just give up hard won secrets. I get that but, other than a couple of things there isn't much I won't share with my fellow racers.

My feeling is that now matter how consistent one's ride is, if the racer can't let go of the button at the right time and drive the stripe he's dead meat anyway. Unfortunately, more times than not I'm in that group.

I don't think the combination I run is unique, just different. I'm happy to share just what it is.

Hello All.
It would be nice to get more guys/gals talking on here or other forums.
I guess it is all top secret, and nobody wants to give in and tell all.

But then again, if you start something most guys will chim in, right or wrong they will chim in.

As in a Field of Dreams (I think that's the right name of the movie)

"If you build it they will come"

Cal, there is some truth to that and I also think that the only forums that gets regular traffic here is the stock/stock forums and the classified forums. That said, I'm far from being the expert on throttle stop racing but if you think I can help, just ask.

Okay, I'll start. I like to run a lower cruise RPM for a shorter time. The thinking is I can get into high gear sooner for longer and make more MPH. Saw a couple of MPH.

So getting on the cruise quicker will help MPH.
But will it effect consistency or 60 ft?

No, we go on cruise at the same time, just at a lower RPM. Because we run a lower RPM we don't have to be on the stop as long. Like anything else it depends on what the car likes. We've run it on 540 and 565 engines. I'm not sure it would work well on a small block.
