Re: Boss Mustang stocker
I was going to rebuild the factory headlight assemblies..but being 45 years old and they looked like they were 145 years old, I got these instead.
These things are really nice even if they are offshore clones http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...pshfeznpfm.jpg |

Re: Boss Mustang stocker
If it wasn't a cleveland I wouldn't be using these, but it does make for a nice way to restrict the oil, should have posted them a few pics back with the rest of the cam gear

Re: Boss Mustang stocker
Looks nice. What's your source for sheet metal? I used mostly Dynacorn stuff from CJPony Parts to rebuild my 68 coupe. Floor pans, radiator support, a fender and such. Pretty descent stuff for Korean stamping.
I don't have access to a rule book on this computer but I think you are allowed to cut that cross member for header clearance. Dale |

I am tig welding all the panels back in also, but its a slow process in between bending tubing for the roll cage and pouring concrete for a living Headers where designed for the engine to sit lower.....but rules state I cant do that, raise the engine to stock location they hit the floor, lower the engine hits the crossmember..no problem, I have a plan wish I could use a dif intake manifold though, I have the best set of heads on the planet (nobody has anything close) with the worst manifold bolted to them |

Can those cam beearings be used with an iron cam ? Comp told me 400lbs open was about it for an iron cam but those 1427's are 500 @ .600" so a tick less with the Boss cam.:eek::eek: |

Re: Boss Mustang stocker
The exhaust crossover, lead is too much of a hassle, tin leaks....aluminum plate works much better and don't have to worry about anything falling out or finding its way into the exhaust bowl. and I am able to swap manifolds without screwing around with it.
