A friend of mine found a 70 road runner convertible 383 4 speed under a tarp on a farm in SD. I am not a big mopar person is this car worth trying to get ahold of ?? Purple black top and interior. No ps air pb. Tom

There is a unrestored one on ebay right now.Owner says only 179 were made.He only want 38k for it!!!

Magazines such as Musclecar Review and Hemmings Muscle Machines love doing the barn find type of stories, especially if there are lots of photos. Should the car end up being restored,, does it need it?,, they would certainly run a feature on a car like this, I'd think. Good luck with your find,, I get both of those magazines every month, so perhaps, some day in the future, I'll read about this barn find '70 RR.

I had a 65 Chevrolet chevelle SS convert able 327 4 speed in 1971 and sold it for I think $200. What an idiot I was!

Hard to say what it is worth. Convertibles are especially valuable to a few. Most are looking for the higher performance engine options like 440 or 426 Hemi, not the 383. A key factor will be how much has to be spent to bring it into top condition vs. what it will likely sell for.
