Jack may be retired now.
Used to have Jack's Garage, I believe located in Helena, Arkansas?

Talked to Jack. He gave me the name of one guy who might be of help. I told him we'd seen him race the big wagon, with the screamin 389. He said he popped the clutch at 7500 rpm, except for the final round. When he made the final he'd put the pedal to the medal and leave about 8300-8400 rpm. Said he thought the only thing keeping it from going higher was the valve springs. It was definitely the highest winding Pontiac engine I ever heard. :)

Give it time. This is only the second year for this organization and there are some specific guidelines being followed.
