Here's some photos from the Nova's clutch pedal switch. When its done it'll have a piece of rubber on the stop itself. As you can see the bracket welded to the pedal holds the switch back so as the pedal arm contacts the stop it pushes the button about 3/4 down so it's stopping on the arm and not the switch.

Thanks for the pics!! the stop was hard to see in the others.

Progress has been slow but steady.....
with the realization Im not gonna get to grab gears this season I had to get the super comp car ready for a few upcoming races but......

Clutch came back from Mcleod and looks like brand new. After everything was said and done I came in at half from new so that was nice. I have everything for the install minus the flywheel bolts.

Been looking for a adjustable mount to secure the seat to the cage but have had a hard time with the 1 1/4 cross bar. I finally came across this set up from Scram Speed. Once Im happy with a seat location Ill add a few welds.

The motor mount deal reared its ugly head again. To my understanding the BB mounts roll the motor 1/2' to the passenger side. With the SB mounts I loose the clearance on the header, Its not touching but its as close as it gets, I guess a small dent is in order. I also had to change the Z bar out for the SB one.

I really wanted to use a standard size battery but does not look like that can happen. After some work to the tray I should be able to fit one of the smaller Braille batteries.

Are you using a header gasket on the mock up? -Al

Re: 69 Camaro B/S

Take a 2"ish pipe lay it on the header running the same direction as the steering shaft and give it a whack. I like that seat brace, I may have to order one too.

Re: 69 Camaro B/S

No gasket on the mock up so I know it'll get worse I've probably got 1/2 a gasket clearance from the shaft now. what a chore even getting the drivers side header on. The header and steering box had to go on at the same time.

I'm super happy with the seat mounts! They were 100each. Since I'm not 100% on where the seat is mounted I wanted something adjustable with the future plan to weld. I will say it clamps on super tight and I was surprised just how much it secured the seat.

I have Lebanon valley divisional then NE national in the next few week so hopefully make a big push after that. I'm hoping to have it together enough to make the Atco div in August and hopefully get the chassis cert.

Like I said, probably not gonna see the track this year but I will fire it off and take it down the street. Lol

Very good. It's looking awesome, I went and looked at a 67 Camaro yesterday maybe for a 396/325 stick, just not sure I need another project so soon.
