Slicks
Anybody going to try any of the new 9x30x15 Radial Slicks that are more than 9 inches wide?

Re: Slicks
They have been on quite a few cars for a while now.

Re: Slicks
The 9x30 Radials are not 10.5 wide.

(No, I'm not running them on my cars.) |
Re: Slicks
I have seen on many stock class cars, 9" slicks with wear on the sidewall making it a 10.5" tread contact area.

Re: Slicks
The tread width increase is about .562”. We ran 1909 on 12” wheels and the contact patch never grew past 9.75”

Re: Slicks
Has anyone tried them on a stick car?

I had them on my V/S truck the last time we had it at the US Nationals.

Re: Slicks
My fault we made a hit with the radials and went fast at Indy and testing the week before at Bowling Green.
Gary Jennings was a big help in getting the truck to respond to the radials. |
