low profile open trailer
Racers, who builds a nice, low ride height, open trailer?

Re: low profile open trailer
I had 2 Featherlite open Aluminum trailers one with 15 inch and the other with 16 tires. 16 inch is the way to go.

Re: low profile open trailer
Sorry not much help but I saw one at Cecil that sat really low very nice open trailer it was on air bags and could be adjusted if I remember right. Had places where you could kneel on and such when tying down the car. It may have tilted because I know the guy said he didn’t need ramps either

Re: low profile open trailer
Aluma tilt is probably your best bet…pricey but all aluminum is the only way to go.

Re: low profile open trailer
Timpte trailers has come out with a line of open car or equipment trailers that appear to be very nice from what I’ve seen so far. They have a lowering deck for a very low profile vehicle to get on and off. Along with some nice dealer options as well. We are supposed to be getting a couple at the dealership I work at here right after the start of the year.

Sundowner builds a real nice all Alum. Open trailer and the longer ones are available with a walk in box on the front. They are not cheap, but great trailers. http://www.sundownertrailer.com/tlr-Car_Hauler.html http://www.sundownertrailer.com/tlr-Outdoorsman.html |
Re: low profile open trailer
Not sure of the brands but several years ago I saw several very nice low profile trailers at Bonneville. You might want to check with Bonneville racers for recommendations.

JB Trailers out of Elkhart, Ind. Bought one new back in the 90's, and wound up buying it back a couple of years ago. They build very nice steel open trailers.

Re: low profile open trailer
I know it is not much help today, but I still have and like my Target by Bill Render of Pa. which I bought about 40 years ago! 2x4 box tubing, 1370 lb, 21'4" long, 2-5/16 coupler. A nicely designed trailer that was featured in SS&DI around 1980.
