"Live From" Atco Dragway LODRS
 

Hey everyone, its been over a month since the last live from. Sometimes its nice to take a break from racing, but not to long of a break, its good to be back. There was a Stock Super Stock race here last week along with a .90's race so the place was packed when I got here yesterday as many left there rigs. I heard between the to races there was well over a 100 cars. Its only Thursday and the pits are already filled, who says racing is dying.

We have a test and tune today until 5pm, not many taking advantage as it is warm here, about 85, the humidity is down though. Qualifying starts at 9:30 tomorrow with Stock. There will be live streaming and I will post a link tomorrow.

Good morning all, weather for today is warm and cloudy but no rain expected. The pits are full, there has to be well over 400 hundred cars here. Stock is out first at 9. The website says 9:30, but yesterday they told us 9am for Stock. Here is the link to the video channel, I will post the live link when they start.

Tim they are working on it, I think its fixed. Sorry folks on the lack of reports, lots going on today. The just called Stock back to the lanes for Q2. Here is Q1 Stock. I will try to get Super Stock later. I do have photos and will try to post later.

It turned from warm to hot, but the track is still holding up. We have well over 500 cars here today. Racing is alive and well.

Super Stock photos, Stock is done for day. They will be finishing up the race from Lebanon for Super Stock and Super Comp later today. Super Stock is still waiting on their second shot.

Good evening boys n girls - If for some reason you decided to skip this race it was a bad decision as it has it all .Cloudy - hot - .humid and full pits . What a greeting -- it should be some race - would you believe its August and we have 112 stockers and more coming in .And lets not forget speed and ET- New Jersey resident Ken Kopecky is on the provisional pole at more than a second under in his Demon .

Traction has been an issue - yesterday was terrible and this morning after the crack NHRA Division guys prepped the place it was great .But then the afternoon Sun arrived and some of the greatness went away .They are trying - ask Bob Bender who led the stockers out both rounds with his two and a quarter ton Kingswood wagon and swears he had shook the tires on both runs .

Me??? I decided to bring out my old faithful COPO coupe which hasn't been raced in over a year - now you know why you haven't heard from me all day .There will be clean-ups tonight and another round of time trials tomorrow morning then
into elims tomorrow afternoon.

Tonight they'll also run the Top 8 stuff and its not for beginners - 8 spots and 8 hitters in Stock .

Hey guys, I had to go home for tonight. I will be back tomorrow as I only live 45 miles from the track. I wanted to post more photos and qualifying, but it will have to wait until tomorrow when I get back to the track.

Good morning everyone, its already 84 degrees, so its going to be a warm one today. Stock has been called to the lanes. Looks like we will have well over a 100 cars in stack and close to 90 in Super Stock. I few more shots from yesterday, I will be back later.

Stock and Super Stock are done qualifying. Stock should be up very soon for first round. Temps are in the low 90's today, but the tack seems to be holding up well. I will try to get the final q sheets before we run and or later.

Another hot / sticky day here at Atco and 1st round of Stock is finally finished after some alky oil downs and some rain droplets that passed thru .All that and the fact that more than a hundred showed up for first round .

Traction was still a problem for high horsepower cars when the Sun was out .SuperStock will be up soon - we'll see how they make out .........Wind has been picking up - it should be fun dialing .

Tomorrow morning jr.dragsters will be out early followed by Stock .......

I can't sit and watch all of it, but I do like to listen to many of the points races while in the shop. Not today. Either the connection or the announcer is awful. Maybe a high percentage of both.

There are technical issues with the sound, they hope to have them fixed tomorrow. We are still racing, Top Sportsman is running now and Alcohol will finish the night with their finals. Stock, Super Stock and the .90's cars were done early with round 1. The total car count for this race was around 570 FYI.

Doug Walker got some great actions shots, so check back later or in the morning. Stock will be out first at 9:30 for round 2.

Thanks Doug for the great pictures. I have posted on this site numerous times from events and it amazes me that photographers like you and myself can take these shots and they show more that the "pro" do down on the track. Great work.
