Re: Nostalgia Modified Production?
The UMTR guys have a number of former MP cars in their ranks, put on a good show.

Re: Nostalgia Modified Production?
I had one in the 70's and it was expensive. Not sure if you could run a series w/o buying a lot of replacement parts. Which then leads to, how close do you want to run the class with the old rules? Aftermarket blocks, heads, intakes, carbs, trans/clutch and the rolling car itself. The South East Gassers Assn. follow strict guidelines to keep the racing from getting crazy financially.A good barometer would be how well the nostalgia Pro Stockers as fairing. MP is somewhere in between. Its great class racing!

Re: Nostalgia Modified Production?
i would be intrest, and might help run it,i tied nostalgia pro stock, even built a car for it,my heart dropped out when they only wanted 6.99 door slammers,so had to sell the car as i dont have that money to run that fast and they had no slower classes so i would be in for it,and being ahra has more and more tracks can get in with them too

Re: Nostalgia Modified Production?
I think it would be a hit!
I would fit nicely at a lot of the Nostalgia Super Stock Races. |
Re: Nostalgia Modified Production?
what would it consist of? class , how fast ect..?
|
Re: Nostalgia Modified Production?
Could be run like the nostalgia super stocks with set index for each class and a breakout. Period correct hood scoops, stick shift, 2 carbs and super mod a b c with 1 carb. Limit it to about 1975 models and older.

Re: Nostalgia Modified Production?
Sounds like a great idea.
I fell in love with the class in the 1970's when I was young kid. My dad and I would drive down to the Springnationals in Columbus every year. I loved all the high rpm small blocks banging through the gears. I recorded some of the cars with a tape deck player when I was 9-10 yrs old. I would listen to it all summer long. Actually, I listened to it way into my 30's. Would listen to it now if I knew where it was. RonP |

My favorite eliminator too back in the 1970s. Check out this video. Some great high-winding, 4-speed modified eliminator-type cars in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMNq6DHH66M |

Hi Mopar68.
That looks like Meander Dragway in northeast Ohio?? I grew up 10-15 miles from that track. Are you from the Youngstown area too?? Thanks, Ron |

That's exactly where that is. I spent a lot of Saturday Nights there in the 80's thru the early 90's. Alex had some great racing there. |
