Late Challenger Smart Door Glass Controllers

Has anyone experience with wiring the late model Challenger door glass with the smart controllers. The 09-11 Drag Paks have specific controllers that wired different from stock to control the electric windows. Those controllers are no longer available, as I've been told. I tried wiring the OEM controllers the same as the DP, but do not operate.
I have been sifting through schematics trying to piece it all together, but thought I'd ask if anyone has experience in this that may give me a short cut. Thanks

One thing I have found on the DP window controls is they do not like 16v systems.
They will usually work when the car is not running , but when the car is running with a functioning alternator , voltage approaches 18-18.5 volts and the control module shuts down .
I fixed the problem on one of the DP's I work on by using a Runtz dropping resister that is made for dropping 12volts down to operate 6 volt gauges on cars that were converted to 12 v.

I'm having the same problem with a 16 volt battery.i tried the runtz and voltage went from 16 to 7 and they don't like that either.any other ideas.

Scott, you can try this reducer ,it's made to reduce from 18 volts to 12 for electric golf cart radios. I've had good results with it.
Jeg's part number is 811-conv-00

CAN buss controllers do not like anything more that 18 volts. I have seen systems fail completely at just over 18 volts.

Thank you Tom I will try that.car is at the tuners shop right now and the window issue is the last thing to do before its first trip down the track.

I have a 2016 Challenger and need help trying to get the power windows to work. Anyone know how to wire this and make this work? I am not using the factory ECM, but have the factory wiring in the doors. The Drag Pak controllers are no longer available. Thanks, Dyno 763-227-336six

Have you checked with John Donato ( see above). That's where I got mine from. He had leftover stock....at that time.

I just went thru this on my drag pak with 16 volt battery
I thought my controllers was burnt up from the hi voltage and purchased new modules
Come to find out the controllers in my car where good and just didn’t like the high voltage
Friend at golf cart shop got me a voltage step down that they use on the carts to install radios n lights
For 15 bucks the voltage step down box worked

I tried a few different things.most did not reduce voltage to where the controller was happy.ended up with a reducer from red hawk #volt0009.works good with car running, not so much when its not.the only thing good about these door glass controllers is they tell you when your battery is low.

Re: Late Challenger Smart Door Glass Controllers

Well some of my questions were answered. I just started building a 2009 Challenger for stock this last couple weeks. Took that long to strip a real street car. One old guy anyway. The windows are a problem. I'm reading here that the Drag pak Door Modules are not available anymore. I'm not that sharp on what it takes to wire it. I've stripped the interior and removed the dash assembly to get ready for a roll cage. Amazingly enough though the wiring is out of the car from the dash forward. The mirrors still operate and the doors lock. Have no clue how to fix the windows yet. Any help would be great.
