Who's the Baddest B/SA now?
 

Long time Lurker. First time Poster

I seem to remember some engine builder, well known to this site, Claiming "Baddest B/SA in the Country" last year on this site and I seen it somewhere else when he was trying to sell it for half a Million $. No idea how you claim that, but lets run with it

I don't even have a car in the class. But can someone tell me how a car rated at 37 Hp less with the exact same engine, Beat up on the "B/SA Belt holder" in Class at Gainesville round 2?
I would think that Camaro weighed over 300 lbs more than the "Baddest B/SA in the Country" and completely outran it with the exact same engine specs.

Do we have a new B/SA Belt Holder? I think so
I always heard that Camaro was fast from friends down south.
I also hear that the previous champ will be full of excuses.
I'll be glued to the screen next time they run down there.:confused:

Well Kenny I certainly cannot speak for said engine builder but a couple things I see here .
1. The car in Gainesville was NOT the car that was for sale on here that is a new car and I believe the first race for that car.
2. If you think you could even come close to duplicating that car for less than said asking price after buying the car , building the chassis , motor , trans , and not to mention the paint and misc stuff to put one together you are sadly mistaken ( MAYBE just MAYBE if you could do every single piece of work to the car including custom paint , trans and engine building and machine work ) but I doubt it HIGHLY doubt it
3. You openly admit to be a lurker ( creeper ) lol had to throw that in for my own amusement but we don't even know if you are a REAL class racer or your real name. Unless you last name is " BOY " then I feel sorry for your family tree
4. You can see from the 107 mph trap speed of said B/SA you are referring to said person lifted.
5. The weather in Gainesville was STUPID fast if you paid attention and a lot of people in fear of getting hit with H.P would have done the smart thing and lifted even in class to take a loss rather then get a instant HP put on the combo for going -1.2 under the index of given class.
6. I can assume by your comment you also are a fan of street outlaws and probably voted for Hillary ( again for my amusement ) lol

Tommy,

This Kenny guy may be the same guy that got mad at Allen Sherman because he would not share the part numbers of his pistons and cam part number and all the other specs of his engine..

If he is that smart, he might notice that Allen had better numbers throughout the run and then lifted so he would not get a hit.

1. Fast Shocks seems to think his new car works well. They are using it as a model for how a car should leave and land on Facebook. Why is it still slower than a car over 300 lbs heavier?
2. Why buy his car he's getting rid of, because its worse than this new car, when I could have bought the car that whipped him for half the $?

4. Why lift if you are winning? He could have still got the win and not hit the combo. There was room. Whats 1 hit anyway? Its 37 HP softer than the other lane with the same motor.

For what it's worth, both of the cars in this discussion had FastShocks on the front! I have no influence on motor, weight, etc... that each racer decides to compete with - but thank you to both of these competitors for their shock business as they both made terrific runs and I'm sure we'll see plenty more of them in the future.

I was at Gainesville and I must have missed that car. Which car are we talking about in addition to Allen? Help an old guy here. I was parked by Bakies who bought Sam Pouchau (misspelled) Camaro which had gone underwater in Baton Rouge and fixed up by J Rod Grainer. . Drank coffee with Sam each day. That thing is pretty fast but of course so is Allen and of course Boudreaux, and Cummins etc.

Not taken anything away from anybody ...but ... I think you'll get your answer at Indy "2017". Passing judgement on brand new cars at nearly their first race out just isn't fair.

OK, just to clarify things here, who has the quickest ET in B/SA trim.

Boudreau, Sherman, Cummings, Hidalgo, Bakies, who else is there. I know that there are a lot of B/SA out there, but who is the baddest. Don't care who lifts, or short shifts or excessive brakes, who is King.

i usually don't get involved in any threads that are under 13 seconds.

Which pink dodge? Are you talking about the one that was a whomp away from total domination of C/SA for the next 10 years or that tall guy's that has the middle carb disconnected who runs in A :)

Ed, if he could read incremental times he would see Allen was on roughly a -1.20 under pass. And if he knew anything about class racing he would know what that gets you!!!

The way I read it, he still can get there without an ahfs hit. -1.195 turns the win light on.
Whats 1 auto hit anyway? The car can take 3 before it gets close to the car in the other lane's HP rating.
I would think his Incremental times should be somewhere close to 3 tenths faster than the other lane, Who has the EXACT same motor specs @ 300+ lbs more weight? That is, if the motors were close to the exact same real power numbers.

Kenny Boy if you want to dis on somebody like this then why don't you reveal who you are? Are you even a racer?

Allen is a great guy, racer, tuner, engine builder, family man, overall asskicker and many other things including my friend. Don't get on this forum and try to start S*^% without us knowing who you are.

There has been some butthurt for awhile on specific cars that can run both B and C class.

When I attended Indy in 2015, both Boudreau and Allen were torn down. The rumor mill at the race was that someone had protested both cars.

In Allen's, I have to applaud him because he not only had to tear down his own car, but also two customer engines at the same race.
When I refer to Allen's car, in addition to the engine, NHRA Tech went throughout the whole car, including wheelbase, front and rear overhang, electrical, etc...
At the end, it was an exercise in futility because not only Allen's car was legal, but also his customers engines.

Just like Ashton said, he works hard not only on his stuff, but also his customers stuff and I also consider him a close friend!

Well why don't you go buy that car for half the price. Then maybe we can set up a little grudge action. You vs Allen best 2 out of 3 for $10k a hit? With tech of course. I bet Allen would jump on that like a fat kid on a cake.

Who has the record in B ? I don't see his named mentioned here. From the outside looking in there are several fast cars in B and a few that could beat one another on any given day. Indy 2017 may give us a better answers. BP

Dude your a tool. Allen busts his *** for everyone not just his own ****. He has bent over backwards for me. His **** got me within .07 of the pole last weekend at the Ihra race in San Antonio. He is loyal to a fault for his customers. His engines are fast,reliable, and most important legal. For Ashton to get on here and respond to you tells me all I need to know about you. I'm easy to find if you have a problem with my statements.....

I can tell you right now from being half way knowledable about them that he was on about a 10.05 pass all out which is 1.2 under the index which would have trigger automatic H.P. You obviously have NO CLUE about how this stuff works and or just trying to be a idiot but I am sure you do just fine at that and lets just be honest here in class racing Indy pretty much is the place where things are proven anyway.I am sure in the hell am not going to take a automatic hit for a class win that is for sure. To win a race yeah prob but definitely not a class win. I am guessing as well you are prob the one that messaged him trying to get part numbers to build an LS and got butt hurt when you couldn't get them...lol
