EFI Fuel Pump
What's everyone running for an EFI fuel pump and regulator?
Looking to get one soon and need some advice when it comes to pump max flow rates and psi. Thanks! |
Re: EFI Fuel Pump
I have had very good luck with my Aeromotive stuff. Zero problems.
Pressure depends on several things. Which engine? |
Re: EFI Fuel Pump
Weldon pumps and regulators. Great quality and outstanding customer service.

Re: EFI Fuel Pump
I have Aeromotive A1000 pumps on 3 fuel injected cars. 2 Racecars and 1 Street car. Never had a problem. One pump is almost 10 years old.

Re: EFI Fuel Pump
no problems out of my aeromotive stuff in 4 years

Re: EFI Fuel Pump
X2 for the Aeromotive A1000 pump .
I've installed at least 8 of them , easy to mount and very reliable , no problems with any of them . |
Re: EFI Fuel Pump
Aermotive A 1000 pumps on all our cars. Aermotive has quality products.

call me....440-232-2282 (x103) -- I'll guide you as well as I can and I won't even push my stuff on you.
oh and another vote for Weldon |
Re: EFI Fuel Pump
Weldon. Period.
Just for reference, I am a belt-and-suspenders racer -- have a spare everything. When I called Weldon for a second one, they asked me why? Why would you need one? They are guaranteed forever. They never fail. Don't ever see anyone with a spare... But I bought a spare. And they are right. I've never needed it. |
Re: EFI Fuel Pump
I've carried my spare Aeromotive for six years now. Evidently for no reason.
I don't see people having problems with either brand. I can't see what it matters which you buy. |
Re: EFI Fuel Pump
I have been using Aeromotive for a number of years with no problems. Very high quality stuff.

Re: EFI Fuel Pump
We use the Walbro or Racetronix pumps. These are an in tank that keeps the pump cool and support 9 second cars with ease. If need be you can run 2 pumps on one hanger .

Re: EFI Fuel Pump
Walbro pumps have such a high failure rate, I will never use another one. My shop was very busy, we installed some of those since we could just call NAPA or O'Reily's and have one delivered quick. Had to eat too many. Borg Warner, etc , are about all reboxed Walbro. When the new pump weighs about half the orig pump, you can tell yourself "yep, plastic is lighter than brass." Went back to buying from the dealer's parts dept to keep customers happy. No voltage booster band-aids needed for a good pump.

Re: EFI Fuel Pump
2 pumps are a bad idea. And are a bandaid, not a solution.

Re: EFI Fuel Pump
Well if my new nhra rule was laying by my chair instead of hiding in cyberspace I could say for sure, but I am real sure stock and super stock are limited to ONE fuel pump.
