New Guy Here
Hi all,
I've been a member here since April and so far have only been reading through some posts. I am a bracket racer and figured I could learn something from the racers on this site. :) |

"3650 lbs w / driver.... be kind"
I have a 67 street/strip coronet. my parents bought it new. I built a 340 stroker and a 727 set it up like a stocker, all of calvets stuff. on m/t et radials it runs 11.50's. I do like those cars, you don't see many of them. anyway, shouldn't you be at the nhra event there this week? |
Re: New Guy Here
I'll be there but only as a spectator, don't have any money to play with the car as of late, it will still be nice to be out at the track.

Re: New Guy Here
Welcome aboard, we need more mopar folks here...LOL.
Dwight Machael (pronounced like the girls name michelle, except with an "a" instead of an "I") has a 66 Hemi Coronet, A/SA at LVMS this week end. He broke early so he might not be there now. Look for him in the pits, and say hi....he is a great big guy.....and a great guy and friend. Mention my name, it's OK. LOL Dwight also races a B/SA 62 Belvedere, Max Wedge. |
Re: New Guy Here
Is the Hemi car Lime green? If so I have met him.

Yep, that is Dwight....a short story about him...I hope he doesn't mind...He was a Huey pilot in Viet Nam and went down 3 times...You would never guess that now by seeing him...Dwight is an absolute good guy, veteran, and patriot. You will never meet a better guy. PS. I have never met you, but if you have long hair, tatoos, and ear rings.....Dwight won't have much time for ya. LOL (neither will I) |

Do you know John Irving? |
Re: New Guy Here
Again welcome aboard.....It is advisable that you include you name in your signature.....You will notice that most folks include their signature.... So many web sites have folks hiding behind a screen name....please don't do that here...
Don't worry about posting your name....I've been doing it for years and no one has tried to hunt me down..... I'm just kidding of course.... but, posting your name on this forum is a good thing... I guess, you just have to trust a fellow mopar racer. |
Re: New Guy Here
I'm not afraid to post my name, thanks for the tip.

Re: New Guy Here
...going to be racing at MATS this weekend. I had the car up for sale so I haven't played with it for a long time. My wife has forbidden me to sell it now so what can I say? I haven't done any real tuning on the car for a long time - just been runnin' (when I go) Time to start tweekin' and try to squeeze some better times out my "little" 440. Anybody besides John Irving going?

Re: New Guy Here
Myself .....and my boys Jon Jr. and Robbie will be out with our Stocker and
SS cars. Probably another half a dozen of our customers cars with us driving. Stop on by! I have an extra Aspen stocker if someone want to run it in the Combo. John Irving |
Re: New Guy Here
I knew you would be there John! I'm sure I'll run into you at some point.

Re: New Guy Here
Love the '66-'67 Bodies. I still have my first one purchased used in 1974! Still looking for an original '66 Deck Lid, Lights, and Bumper. In 1978, I got hit in the rear and the first thing I found to put it back together was a '67 back half! Until then, mine is '66 up front, and '67 in the rear! Original 318 car.
