Re: New Stockers
No bearing on NHRA Stock Eliminator , where you need a roll bar @ 12 .85.

Re: New Stockers
I call street cars stockers too, maybe I should have been more clearer...

Love it in O/SA

Re: New Stockers
My problem would be removing the weight a roll-bar would add so I could stay in N/SA!

Re: New Stockers
You get to remove the (fold down) rear seat..
That can't be too light. LOL |

Happened last night. New or not the safety equipment should not be optional at 130mph trap speeds. |
Re: New Stockers
That's exactly what I was thinking when I posted this, why would NHRA even consider this, is having more street cars show up to the track making them money then making them safe.

Re: New Stockers
Did NHRA change its motto from "Dedicated to Safety" to something else recently, to reflect such changes? I find it odd that NHRA is fine with 7 second "street cars" running down its tracks with crazy HP from boost or nitrous, on 275 "Drag radials", or 8 1/2 x 26 slicks. All this Extreme racing stuff just seems like a breeding ground for wrecks. And now 10.0 ET cars basically need NO saftey equipment, if they are 2008 or newer. I guess the laws of Pyhsics don`t apply to newer cars.

Re: New Stockers
Not a good idea anyway you cut it, not having a bar or cage at 130+mph.
