Fight Hard MMA Acquires American Drag Racing League

(Lake St. Louis, MO USA) — November 21, 2012— Officials from Fight Hard MMA announced today that it has acquired the American Drag Racing League, LLC (ADRL) from Sheikh Khalid Al-Thani of Qatar. “The last two years have been an exciting yet difficult time for our family,” said Fight Hard MMA President Jessica Nowling, wife of ADRL co-founder and former President Kenny Nowling. “We have enjoyed the challenge of building a new company and have met a lot of great people, but there has definitely been something missing. Drag racing has been a part of our entire life together and we had no idea that we would miss it so much.”

“First and foremost I want to thank Sheikh Khalid for everything that he has done, not just for the ADRL, but for the entire sport of drag racing,” said Kenny. “I also want to thank Tim and Diane McAmis for their tireless efforts in running the ADRL for the past two years. No one knows better than Jessica and I the immense amount of time and sacrifice that is required to run the ADRL. Every member of the ADRL family owes them and their staff a debt of gratitude.”

The ADRL has scheduled a press conference for this Friday, November 30 at the Performance Racing Industry trade show in Orlando, Fla. during which it plans to make several major announcements.

Re: ADRL Change

Hey Bret, what are you guys doing to bring the NA cars closer to the boosted cars? Although there are some NA cars that can run high 5's to the 1/8th, most will not and thats a far cry from 70's. I would love to see more cars and more parity in the class along with better diversity. I know there will be more Camaro's offer a few more cars but the NA cars need a place to play as well.

Would a tenth or two tenths staggered pro tree ever be considered?

ADRL released their 2013 schedule, it may be an oversight but lists all categories but Supercar. Or possibly remains as a "special" class? Bret?

Re: ADRL Change

Heads up racing wont work unless it's a pro class and you get paid money . Cars cost 100k, trick motors run 40K , plus all the other expenses who wants to race heads up for free ?

Somebody put up 10k per race to the winner and 5k to r/u and 50k to the champion at the end of the season and guys will show up to race .

And you need same blowers , cubic inches and 3spd trans for every car . Pump them for ci and ck tb size everything else is legal and let them race .

Any body got 200k laying around to fund it ?

Bret get a money sponsor for XDRL factory cars

With holbrook running what he did in the 1/8th mile my question still stands as to what if anything will be done by the rules to bring the NA and boosted cars closer together. Bret I would really appreciate your response on this issue since your are directly involved what occurs with the class.

Also, what are you expectations of class growth for this year vs. last year?

Banish the slushboxes and make the class stickshift only and that should help equalize the boosted vs non boosted.

I'm hoping this XDRL runs west coast races. Maybe proper 1/4 mile too.

Sorry.....I just pointed out that heads up sportsman races have always turned into a loser. Just didn't like a smart a@@ed answer. Bret should stick to announcing. The truth hurts sometimes. Pay backs sometimes can be a bit#h. How many cars usually showed up at any of those races. 3 to 5 maybe? Mostly blown Mustangs. The DP's didn't stand much of a chance. Same deal as Top Stock in IHRA many years ago. When someone who knows nothing about HP factors or stock and S/S in general (like when that engineer from GM Performance) tried to run the show it has always turned into a bad deal. No points series. Not much "ink". No $$$$$ to make it worth running a $100,000 plus car except for bragging rights. When its run a few times then your down to 2 or 3 cars. Not much of a show in my opinion. We all know how Top Stock was "Killed" thanks to the crate motored combos and the sponsor couldn't keep their nose out of the rules and factors ! Brets deal could have been something good IF they had equalized the factoring.

December 1, 2012 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> FOR IMMEDEATE RELEASE,ORLANDO FLORIDA……………….

X-DRL Press Information
5215 Highway 27
Kerrville Texas, 78028

The newly formed X-DRL (X-treme Drag Racing League) has confirmed that it has secured a partial race schedule for the 2013 race season. The X-DRL plans to offer competition in eight categories. Those classes include:

X-treme Pro Mod
Pro X-treme
X-treme Nitrous
X-treme Pro Stock
Pro Turbo
Top Dragster **NHRA Rules**
Top Sportsman **NHRA Rules**
Pro Junior Dragster

The status of X-Treme Pro Motorcylce is still undecided at the time of this writing.

The League has secured the necessary major and class sponsorship as well as ringing endorsements from the Icons of the industry including Jerry Haas Race Cars, Precision Turbo and Engine, Five Star Race Car Bodies, Sonny Leonard Engines, Tim McAmis Race Cars and many others. The entire race season is underwritten through its core investors as required to keep the commitment to deliver the 2013 race season.

Race schedule and tracks are being secured, and will be available to the public next week. The League has confirmed its intention to put on a minimum of eight events in 2013.

Leadership of the up-start League has been quoted to say “As racers, we understand that the X-DRL must do it’s best to not schedule events on dates that might conflict with the NHRA Pro Mod series along with the ADRL if at all possible. We feel that there is enough interest in this exciting product to support all organizations and wish the NHRA Promod Series along with the ADRL much success."

Other details of important notation are the confirmation that Keith Goolsby (Director of Sales ), Chris Bell (Technical Director), Cale and Cody Crisp (The Traction Twins), David Cook (Competition Director), Steve Woods (Safety Director), Trevor Wilson (PJD Director) and many others have joined the Xtreme Drag Racing League Team and are working diligently to prepare for the excitement of 2013.

A press conference is planned during the IMIS show in Indianapolis, IN. this weekend with Keith Goolsby, Director of Sales, and David Hubbard, representing the owners/investors in attendance.

Watch for more information throughout the week, on Facebook and on the web site www.x-drl.com
