Here is my experience with Joel and Shawn, I had 3 trans in my Fairlane in 17 passes {all from a different builders that burnt up } I called Joel to say I needed a trans, and I was heading east to attend Bowling Green and then Indy. I left home on a Thursday and arrived at his shop on that Sunday afternoon. Monday morning Joel let me use his lift in his shop, I pulled the old trans out while Shawn finished up my new Joel on joy C-4 trans. I had the pleasure of hanging out, watching them dyno the trans and go for lunch at a 50's style burger joint. After the burgers I got a short tour of the area, then back to the shop to install the trans, everything went smooth and I had it in tested and loaded in the trailer before 6pm.
Trans has 25 flawless passes, it shifts hard and works fantastic!
Joel & Shawn are straight up honest guy's that really care about their customers and the product they build.

The new rule change for 2013 allows the C2 in any Ford for Stock or S/S.

Is that your interpretation or NHRA's?
The C2 is a two-speed Powerglide.

That is what NHRA told me when I phoned them. They said not to call it a Powerglide, but if it is called a C2 then it can be used in any Stock or S/S Ford that came with an automatic.

Yep; just put a Reid racing bellhousing on a Powerglide and call it a C-2... ;)

There are a lot of guys in the heads-up Mustang scene running very low eights in 3300 lb cars with C-4's. If done right, they are a very good trans.

I have a "sleeper" for class racers to try ;)...Dana Sniff Transmissions in Irvine CA...he is a C4 specialist, he and his brother run one in their own heads up car and constantly doing r&d work. He fully understands customer service and has been working on some rather cool "lightweight" tricks of late. ph. (949) 559-6563
