Just wanted to start this thread. I'm not gunna be the reporter 'cause I can't post pictures and I'm sure "the Boss" will be here anyway. I have it on good authority that there are at least 12 rigs sitting outside the gate right now! Anyone there feel free to post! Jim:D

I've got a dyno appointment tomorrow morning. I'll be driving down Thursday. As long as everything goes as planned.

Hey Jim. Check and see how late the gate will be open on Thursday evening. Mike Thompson is putting the finishing touches on my engine and we are dropping it back in the car tomorrow night. I plan on leaving ft myers after work on Thursday. See you there. Mike

I got here a while ago. According to one of the track employees that parked me in line the gates are supposed to be open 24 hours.

They will start officially parking rigs at 8am tomorrow.

And thanks to my temporary neighbor that helped fix my busted generator ground wire!

Broke 9 of my solid lifters on the dyno today. Got most of the broken pieces out.Went back to the hydralics.
Made 242.6 whp and 189.7 ft pds of tourque.
Leaving for Orlando at 5 am.

The gate is open and everyone is stacking in the front parking lot. Plenty of room. About 50 or so rigs here now and more keep rolling in. Jim

Hey Mike, you think it's going to be fast. How about around 50 degrees, 38 dew point and a 10mph tailwind. The humidity is going to go from 85% at 7:00am to 42% at 10:00am.

Weather was around 1000 feet today and the track was killer in testing. Noriega's brand new Gary Russell motor went 11.92 @ 110 right out of the box in M/SA ! Jim

With two rounds of Stock and Super Stock done the rain clouds are moving in. Temp dropped about 10 in the last 30 min. Altitude was about 2300ft last round.Track temp is 93 right now. Jim

9.37 #26 qualifier. Beautiful car and a good bunch of guys. Bs'd with them in the lanes before 2nd qualifier.

44 cars on the sheet and Rich South is #1 @ -94 under.

Smitty, it's all up now on DRC. I am #5 right now out of 46 cars. Douglas had a problem with his line lock solenoid not releasing on the second pass and when the wheels came down he almost hit the wall. Scared us all! We are back at it at 9am in the morning. Rich Schafer told me tonight that 1320go.com has this race on live timing but there is no one from DRC here so he has to send the info to them when he can. Jim

The rain passed through last night and left us with cool air and a clear sky! It's going to be fast this morning. Track crew is working hard and it looks as if we are just about ready for the first qualifying session of the day. Jim

Thanks for the update, I talked to John and Rebel and they briefed me on the drifting that was going on lol. Hey, do me a favor, take it easy on Rebel if you have to run him cause you know have a little cushion on him ok.

Ok Smitty! We just ran the first round of SS and Stock will run in a little while. Randy Harrison set the K/SA record about an hour ago. No other records set that I know of. John Douglas, Bertozzi and Schimsher are out. Jim

Ok, so I'm a first round red light bandit . At least I won't have the problem of guessing what to dial in 30 degree weather first thing in the morning! Went over and ate dinner at Ron Ortiz's "Palace" and dined on BBQ beef & pork. Great stuff! Look like more than 50 or 60 racers there. Sure were a lot of them Yankee racers there! It's always great to put a face to some of these Internet names. Gunna be about 30-32 degrees tonight. Burrrrrrrrr! Jim

Randy's car is pretty darn fast! I got a friend back in NC that has a K/SA Camaro and they have ran pretty close to those times. Now, what's up with you guys and these red lights lol?

Great shot of your car on DRC....along with one of Matt Rover's car (think Matt told me at Charlotte last year he is now a D2 resident) and the photographers love Mack's gorgeous Challenger. By all the shots it looks like traction was definitely not a problem. Wonder why the Comp cars stayed away?

Sunday morning at Orlando Speed World Dragway its damn cold, but.........nothing like ohio, lol
its 34 right now and doesnt look like we will be racing until at least 11 or so when they can get heat into the track. I think pony express finally reached who ever at DRC is posting stuff cause they are not here. I'll post later on. We won rd 1 of SS and have a date with Drew Allen and his truck in rd 2. BTW, they ran SS,Stock, SC & SG rd 1 last night here. Make sure you watch all the times from Orlando on www.1320go.com

I'm in Daytona, 75 miles NE of the track in Orlando, but my curiosity got the best of me and I stuck my weather station outside to get a reading. Naturally it may not be a very accurate representation of Orlando, but it's gotta be real good there too! I've never seen anything even close.

The prediction was 2 tenths faster than what it was showing in Immokalee last week:

42.5* temp.
48.1% humidity
30.34 barometer
-1230 DA
18.8 GOW
0.13 VP
0.962 correction factor
