I have one for you. Would you like a 5.7, 5.9, 6.1, 6.4 or 512? Let's see; B/SA that as yet unrun 6.4 (392) might just qualify in Indy. And I will give you a liberal allowance for your other cars.

Hey Bobby I can rent you the SS combo winner, If I haven't sold it yet.
Last year I was looking forward to running Jeff in the go fast race. People would have talked about that for a long time.

The last paragraph is about classes where there is only one vehicle entered.

The way I understand it :...is that say, there are 7 different classes in Stock Combo/Auto with only one vehicle each.

Those 7 drivers would be paired up (somehow) and the difference in the indexes for their respective classes would dictate the amount of handicap start the slower class vehicle gets from the start. From there, first to the finish wins.

Then keep pairing up until there are only 2 vehicles left.

Am I understanding this correctly ?

You got it Alan, last man standing gets the trophy. Again this is just an example of "he who has the most $ to spend" will be the winner. At $165 a piece, NHRA can now save a bunch of money on trophys.

Is this correct?

Let us just re-invent the Stock and Super Stock Classes one month before the season begins without any input from the participants and tell them it is wonderful and will be good for everybody.

Huh?(scratching my head)

It sounds like an off shoot of having WAY TO MANY CLASSES to begin with. All those bye runs and 2 car class runs have come back to bite you in your azz. Isnt it time to wake up and realize this in today economy? The manufacturers cannot afford to keep paying for a gazillion different class winners when you dont have to run anyone. They are in business to make money selling parts and services and not give it away when you make a bye run win with parts that you have had on your car bought several years ago. Either change the system or just run for the winner and runner up monies avaliable like the .90 class guys. The .90 and Comp guys dont recieve any class win money or Wally's either for qualifying. They have to WIN the eliminator.

Terry if the manufacturers don't give the money away it goes to nhra.
SO what's your point. Are You Lobbying to make compton richer, or for his legal defence fund?
This will drop the car counts worst than the go fast racing did in the seventies. And there will be no more.

Can they make anything worth doing any worse ? Seems all they do is pile more s--t on S&SS, how could anyone think this latest smoke and mirrors will fix anything. Just more crap to get you off the real problems.

This is one main reason that there are less manufacturers posting anything. The manufacturer has already paid NHRA a lot of money to be on the list to post monies for a class win. A lot do it thru their own in house programs these days. NHRA has screwed themselves and the racers.

Same blue color as Maine lobsters and the ones you catch under the Verranzano Narrows Bridge. LOL

Hope you get more than two bites out of those lobsters. This thing turned red when we boiled it just like a lobster does. Most of the other crawfish from this area are brownish colored and normal sized. We have trapped about four or five of these over the past several years. Very good to eat!

A little more to eat on the lobsters I didn't do it long (helped out for about a month) but I had them up to 7 pounds. Much bigger than most mouths. LOL

Wonder how it will be handled when there is not enough time to run class as sometimes before .They would just give it to the quickest qualifier... That would work in the event there was more than 1 car in the class ,but what happens to the rest of them that would have had to run a combo.. (maybe tie it into 1st round ? i dunno) Hmmmmm just another question that will probably be asked.......

My guess is that the fastest of all the single classes would be the class winner.

Man, if you're trapping those, we need to find someone who can breed and raise them! I'd be trying that if we had any of those 5" critters in this part of TN.

Here is the real deal on the crawfish. The Cajun Crawfish absorb the hazardous liquid used for boiling better than their more northerly brothers. Come to the Cajun Nationals and observe the preparation. Anyone who has been to the Cajuns has noted on the turnoff about a mile from the track all the industrial installation; heaters, compressors propane and more. That is where they make the boiling liquid. That stuff added to C12 is worth two tenths. That stuff with beer is worth four tenths. A potato and sausage soaked in the "water" with a beer and C12 is over a second. And yall thought it was because you could look in the drainage ditches and see where sea level is that day.

You ought to see a big lobster They have claws like a boxing glove, and can crush a hard clam like a sponge.

Correcto!!! But then I always thought that winning the eliminator was the real reason for showing up in the first place.
