Re: New rules?

Here is something funny, my parents, which i consider or a few of the original super class racers as both of them have been racing either SG or SC since day 1 of it being a eliminator in NHRA DID NOT get anything in the mail or by e-mail to vote on the rules. Just wonder who did and who didn't.

I know they both want to leave the index's alone and either remove timers or have a mph rule. Moving the index's are not going to cure one thing.

Re: New rules?

must have current comp. lic.# in S/C or S/G

Re: New rules?

I got mine by email from NHRA. I did send a email to josh Peterson asking him if it was legit or not, And two days later I got the email with the survey, That is not right that everyone did not get to vote. The results will not be accurate if everyone did not get the chance. Steve Williams:confused:

Re: New rules?

Talked to my division folks, they said it was sent to people who had "recently" (last year or two?) entered a national event.

Re: New rules?

I didn't get anything about voting email or mail and I race a lot of both Divisionals and Nationals. So who and how did we vote!

Everybody with an active SC, SG, and/or SST number got a survey e:mail from Josh Peterson (or somebody else at Glendora). Sure your number is active and they have your e:mail address?

Re: New rules?

The survey went out to email addresses in our Field Office racer database. Some people change them, some we don't have. Kind of like filling out a tech card, need to fill out all lines of renewal forms and such.

I know everyone did not receive one, but here are the numbers:

Super Comp
5,237 – Emails Sent
421 – Bounced back due to bad information provided
9 – Opted out of the survey
26 - Skipped question
1,809 – Answered the question

Super Gas
4,436 – Emails Sent
361 – Bounced back due to bad information provided
8 – Opted out of the survey
15 - Skipped question
1,657 – Answered the question

Super Street
2,522 – Emails Sent
201 – Bounced back due to bad information provided
0 – Opted out of the survey
7 - Skipped question regarding entries
3 – Skipped the question regarding index change
985 – Answered the question regarding entries
989 – Answered the question regarding index change

Re: Survey

FYI .I was curious why I did not get a survey either ,so I decided to check my spam folder and found it in there. Keep the indexes the same and limit the mph.. I'm not just saying this because I have a slower mph. than most cars in sst,but ..... no ,wait - strike that - that IS what I'm saying LOL.

Re: New rules?

If you look at the numbers as presented , it looks like not many racers were interested in the poll, BUT look at the numbers as they relate to ACTIVE Super Class racers and the participation is actually very high.
1276 SC racers earned Lucas points this year , and 1809 racers responded to the SC question.
1041 SG racers earned Lucas points this year and 1657 responded to the SG question.
Since there are no S/ST points totals to compare , with 989 responding ,it still looks like a majority of active racers did get to voice their opinion.
We all know that nearly everyone with a dragster has a SC number, But a whole lot of them have never seen a Pro tree, Same for the other classes.
I would like to see any changes ,regardless of what they are deceided by the opinions of racers who are curently ACTIVE within that respective class, not based by who just happens to have a number.

I finally found my survey(s) in my spam folder after I heard everyone talking about it.
I got 2...one for S/ST and one for S/G.
Maybe others are sitting in there too?

Well, I did not get a survey. I raced at Bristol last year, and I have a valid license and comp # SG 2444.

Re: New rules?

Hey Mike,
seems funny i do all the entry stuff for my parents, i have 2 e-mail addresses set up for both, i receive the return e-mails from NHRA after I spent $$$ on entering 3 cars for a national event, but still to this day did not receive a e-mail one for the rule deal. So my question, who got them and who didn't and the above still doesn't answer why i didn't receive 2 e-mails for this vote for the parents.

Re: New rules?

Me either, no where to be found?

Mike Rice 12-20-2010 04:48 PM

Re: New rules?

It was not based on the national event entry system. The emails were sent to the address we have in the licensing system. Sorry if you didn't get them.
