Hoosier drag radial air pressure?

Just wondering how much air pressure to run in a 30x9 hoosier lightweight drag slick on a 10 inch rim.Car is a 2800 pound fox body Mustang auto?

Re: Hoosier drag radial air pressure?

I run 21 lbs in those same Hoosier slicks on 10" rims (94" circ.). My car weighs 3,540 +, but most people I've talked to are between high teens and low 20's. Lots of variables between vehicles, but that should give you a starting range.

It will be interesting to see if anyone is much lower or higher, especially in lighter cars.

I run 22 lbs on good track and no less than 18lbs. If it doesn't hook with 18lbs then I make a shock adjustment. Same tire and weight as Myron. Jim

I assume you have the C06 compound. If that is so, the numbers posted. Under 18, the walls are a little thin. If you have the c07 compound, we have gone as low as 13 on those. They are a little heavier and the walls are stiffer.

On my 3720 lbs. min. wt. Olds in E/SA, I have run the C06 at 23 PSI, and the C07 at 18 PSI.

19-22 depending on how I want to adjust rollout. To go fast I'll set them at around 25. The higher you can get and still hook, the faster it will go. If you run them really high all the time you will wear out the centers of the tire faster.
