Maybe it wasnt meant that way, and not that Mike P needs me to post this. But I felt obligted to because of the way he has treated us. I dont know John Vineyard....I have met Mike P.....and well......if I thought that I would have never considered having our car done by him. Mike has sold me EVERY single item in addition I have needed CHEAPER than I could get on my own or elsewhere.....AND I have been fortunate to call him and say I need X and him drill it up order it, spec it, and have it on its way faster than I could of, on top of it he builds GOOD stuff and lots of it, CHEAPER by the 10k range than other builders wanted for the same car ?!? I asked him one time "Mike do you have any markup in this ?!?! Yeah about 20 bucks" was his answer on something he spent at LEAST 1 - 1 1/2 hrs finding the right answer. And I couldnt get is some $100 cheaper ? He takes my calls always as well as many others who he probably knows are just pumping him for info. He shoots straight, he made the deadlines promised, At LESS than the cost quoted and ? And some 10k cheaper than other builders wanted to do the SAME thing (almost, his is legal :) I dont get it....maybe it wasnt meant that way...... And Well....... If I told you what it cost to have our car done by him, which I wont do....you would most likley not believe it. Nor in 3 1/2 weeks......let alone the quality and knowledge..... He aint "free" but he was FAR from expensive either. And he continues to do us a service of extensive knowledge long after the sale..... I wouldnt hesitate to have him build the next in a heartbeat. |

Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
Pustelney- the true reason the factories are now involved in sportsman racing and with the finest cars to date- Vineyard- sold me his Gold Rush in '96- one of my best investments--- thank you both!

Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
Mike is the best. You will not find a better chassis guy on the planet and whatever he tells you is sincere. I would not even THINK of taking a door car to anyone but Mike. We all love money but I think Mike loves his home made salsa more!

Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
Mike does fabulous work and his men know the standards to keep it. My Cavalier was TOP notch.
He Loves S and SS Drag racing and has done more for our eliminator by working with the factories than most of us will ever know. Thanks Mike your dedication is really appreciated on BOTH levels. |
Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
John Vinyard is also a very good guy.

Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
I have known Mike for the better part of 30 years and he is still the same person that I met at the Pop Rod meet about 1979. I have always been a low budget racer and Mike knows that, yet still trearts me as well as any big budget guy. I have also never seen him steer anyone including me in the wrong direction. Mike makes his money purely off his work ethic and his customers get a quality product, as if it was built for himself. You will have a hard time finding a better value, dealing with Mike, whether it is a few parts or a complete car.

Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
I personally don't know Mike. However, I take it he like's homemade salsa and buttered corn on the cob.....Does he work for food? j/k, lol :D.
Mike can expect another welcomed phone call very shortly. ;) |

Let me guess, you took some welding classes at a night school and now you are an expert at arc welding, congrats! so tell us, what are your qualifications? what are your achievements? were you an NHRA super gas champ like john vineyard was? how many race winning race cars have you built? oh i almost forgot, what kind of race car do you have and who built it, or are you a day dreamer? you opened this can of worms, again congrats! Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
I just figured this guy was one of Mikes buddies breaking his balls, but obviously not....I dont run a racecar, but know Mike pretty well. I have nothing but great things too say about Mike and his work. Mike is a great guy to talk to, and will never steer you in the wrong direction. Obviously this deusch bag doesnt known Mike or has never seen his work.

Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
Attacking Mike P. is like poking a stick in a bee hive.... The queen bee doesn't need to even come out.... The rest of the bees will take care of business and protect the bee hive.
Too many people know him and have benefited in one form or another from the relationship, to allow someone else with no history, to poke sticks at him. Mike is the man! David ________ AVANDIA CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS |
Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
You guys are saying too many nice things about Mike.....he's gonna get cocky....lol
Just kidding Mike....He built us a beautiful SS cobra jet and we love it...of course I had to buy him lunch countless times...but it worked out pretty good.... Now Vineyard on the other hand.....lol John has won championships in both santioning bodies....don't need to say much more than that.... Rock Haas |

Drooze,
CBS and his posse have a big tire CJ clone. It was the record holder until "Big Blue" was awakened on Thanksgiving to take it away. See you at the races, Wayne Kerr |

Re: Thanks Mike Pustelny and John Vineyard
Funny, but no Joe (is/was) a real guy, he was a promoter back in the day when I played tournament pool. "Joe Kerr Productions" used to have something to do with the "Akron Open" ... yes there was such a thing the pros actually came to Akron to play...
Peter, like you said "Mike is the Man" We decided to put this on our car to "Honor" and Thank him for his immesurable help and guidance. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2792/...e355bdaaa5.jpg Let me know when youll be around our way, Id LOVE to have you sign our trunk along with any of the other DP owners who are Game, my dad just bought a pack of 20 different color Sharpies .... Im saving the pink one for people that piss me off....lol. Quote:

Give me a break! I don't post often and I don't post on very many websites, but that comment is absolutely uncalled for. When you build as many championship winning cars, national event winning cars, divisional event winning cars, capture best engineered awards, work hand in hand with all three major manufacturers and do a bunch of it for pennies on the hour as Mike Pustelny has done, then you can come back and bitch. And if you win World Championships in two different sanctioning bodies as John Vineyard has done, maybe then you can come back and exercise your lips. I've known Mike and John for longer than most. I've never been beat up financially by either of them. In fact I truly believe either of them will give a racer the shirt off their back to help out. Both of ‘em are first class folks in my book. Mr. Miller, to me, your comments are repulsive and out of line. Wayne Scraba |
