should call Glendora for a "clarification". I'd like to see if they pull the owner/different driver crap.I know someone who inquired about entering his car and wanted someone else to drive. They were told the driver needed enough grade points or no go. |
Re: Entering gatornationals no grade points
Have you looked at the car counts for Gainesville? If he goes to Bradenton next week or Gainesville the following week. He will have a grade point
And it looks like that will get him in. |

If I understand this correctly, the driver that will be racing in Super Gas is KURT Busch. I believe he was the Nascar Champ in 2004. According to the NHRA website: Former Professional *or* Sportsman national champs will be confirmed entry to any national event in any category Does that sentence say that you have to be a "Drag Racing" champion? He is a former Professional National Champ (you ASSUME they mean in Drag Racing) Maybe thats how he gets in? |
Re: Entering gatornationals no grade points
It is Kurt that is going to run Super Gas......my flub.....!!
I was distracted by the sweater........:-) |
Re: Entering gatornationals no grade points
Stretching it a bit could the winner of the Soap Box Derby be qualified under this rule?
How about the famous tortoise from the Tortoise and the Hare story? |

Re: Entering gatornationals no grade points
Yeah Im thinking changing to Endura or elastomeric bumpers has its drawbacks, it would seem that you are weakening something that when altered would suffer from added and obvious stresses , hope they dont crack under load.
Then again, if my "car" had a set of "bumpers" like that I would have little interest in racing...... I dont think Id leave my house for 2 years. Thats the whole single point of racing, to become rich and famous (no im not serious) so I can get me one of them "New and Improved Models" Quote:
