Congrats J Duzac #1 Qualifier and D/S record
21TEK would like to congratulate John Duzac for his outstanding performance . #1 qualifier, and recapturing the D/S record!
Remember, 21TEK is NOT a lifter company. They provide friction reduction coatings for ALL of your internal engine parts and free up horsepower. John can testify to that. http://www.classracer.com/html/happy.gif Great job John. CW |
Thanks very much for the kind words 21Tek. Now if I could just learn to stage the car in a timely manner...
For anyone who was there and wondering what happened, I was not trying to pull something funny on Austin Ford. My car kept on rolling back out of the staging beams, no less than two times. I was then timed out. Charlie, Heather and Austin Ford are good hard racers and class people! John Duzac |
Thanks John, my father speaks very highly of you.

John -
Any relation to the John Duzac that raced a '55 Chevy in the early '70s? |
Dwight, Yes I am the same person who raced the 1955 Chevrolet in Superstock in 1969 through 1976. And I even have the same partner, George Peterson.

I remember standing on the starting line at LaPlace and LOTS of rpms!

John,
Congratulations on the #1 qualifying spot and the national record. I was hoping that you would go all the way! Your friend in NC, Bob Rice |
Johnny, nice job and I believe Austin knows that no games were being played.
Dwight, I aquired Johnny's Q/stocker "Instant Grits" 55 when NHRA was changing stock eliminator to pure stock and super stock. Their second car was the finest 55 that I have ever seen including car shows. Then they helped Steve Green with his 55 corvette. Oh what are those cars worth in today's market. BTW I bought a complete 265 from Reher and Morrison in 1975 for $1,937.00..........James Lee or Randall Klein what are they going for today. Greg |
Congratulations!!!

Greg, about the same
at least that's what I tell the Mrs. Randall Klein |
Congrat7ulations Johnny and George on your best showing this year. It brings back fond memories of Laplace Dragway. You know if you had an automatic it wouldn't roll backwards.

Congrats on your record John. We were so busy Fri., trying to fix the Shelby, that I missed the fact that you had set the record. Then again, at my age, I miss a lot of things!!
As far as Austin, he basically respects everybody. I told him that I thought you broke something right on the line. I appreciate what you said to him. |
TO: Jeff Lee: Thanks. I know you ran D/S and had a fast car.
Greg Schenck, Karl with a K, Bob Rice, I will send pics of the '55 SS/T Circa 1974 for your collection. Charlie Ford Wade Ownes To all of the above racers, I sincerely thank you for all of the kind words. Everyone is always welcome drop by the trailer for a cold one, Jeff Teuton is especially welcome. Jeff always brings cold beer. JD4446@bellsouth.net John Duzac |

Good looking '55. Never saw it before.
Anyone know what track that is? "The future isn't what it used to be." |
Hollo, Bowtie Bomber: This picture was taken at Southland Dragway, in Houma, Louisiana around 1972. Some of the best bite in div 4.
Thanks for asking. John Duzac |
Mr. Duzac:
Did you ever have much luck getting those Chevy 3 speed transmissions to live? Thanks |
Bunkster: Yes at one time we broke the original transmissions, alot!. Then N.H.R.A. changed the rules and allowed us to use a T-16, which is almost like a T-10 4 speed. Fact is we used the same sliders as a T-10. It made for a much stronger transmission. Tkanks for asking
John Duzac |
Mr. Duzac,
My father saw you run at the Gators one time and he said that was the most beautiful 55 he ever say and would fly!! Do you have any other pictures? By the way do you know where that car is today? Congradulations on you record..... Robert Robert S. |
Robert: I sold the car to Tom Story of Houston, Texas in 1976 or 1977 with an automatic trans. Worst thing I ever did. I will send more pictured to Bob Rice who will put them in his album. Thanks for asking.

Re: Congrats J Duzac #1 Qualifier and D/S record
I do not know how this reappeared on Class Racer. This is from 2007 when we set the record at Rusk Texas points meet. 10:65. Engine still out of the car waiting for a new bullet.

Re: Congrats J Duzac #1 Qualifier and D/S record
Mr. Duzac and Mr. Peterson are both awesome individuals!
Met them at No Problem a couple of years ago; told them I was a Marine stationed in New Orleans and Mr. Duzac invited me over to his shop the following Sat. I had a blast! They shared some great technical advice and funny stories while allowing me to check out their car inside and out. Great people with an awesome car! Congratulations on the setting the record my friends! |
