Bub is the man to see. Great guy to deal with and builds very fast pieces.

By far, in my opinion to build a stocker engine in your area is Jim Lewis, of Vian Oklahoma. Dollar for dollar, you can't beat Jim Lewis. He will put an honest effort to build you a competitive eginge for a fair price. If Lewis was not in business, I would give Parsons and Meyers a serious consideration for my engine. Just look at what Donnie Beeler did with a Parsons and Meyers engine. Just kidding Donnie.

Parsons and Myers 937-228-7278. I also would have recommended Woodro but he would have killed me.

Greg

Joe DeMarzo 01-06-2009 04:42 PM

Re: Wanted NHRA stock engine builder

I would go to Joe DeMarzo, he will sub it out, one head to Bub, one head to Woodro, the cam and piston from Parson, the short block from Myers, then to Lewis for clearances, and then finally to Tilburg to assemble. Can't go wrong, guareented to confuse the heck out of anyone. Let us know if you need a converter and trans next. LOL........
Todd that would 3rd on Bub. Happy New year.

BUB ????
HEY....the guy is in OKLAHOMA and should send his engine to MARYLAND ????
I DON'T THINK SO !!!!!
Jim Lewis or Self Racing Engines in Durant would be much closer.....
Or contact Mike Braswell in Ft.Worth....try www.mr57.com for his web site
Or 817-831-1901

If you are going to build a Chevy Big Block, you should go to a Big Block specialist.

Darrell Wikle is the one that you want to go with. He will give the best and fastest LEGAL motor. Every user of his engines will tell you that you can qualify in the top 16 in any field with his motors. I know he has built a killer low compression 454 that can get into trouble with the AHFS.

He is the most honest engine builder. All you need to do is ask some of the fastest Chevys in the country.

If you do decide to use him, you better get your wheelie bars on.

His phone number is 316 942-9500. He is located in Wichita, KS.
