Ford Class Racers
According to my contact at Ford Racing Performance Parts, Ford will once again be paying $200 for a Class win in Stock and Super Stock at national events.

Re: Ford Class Racers
Is it still going to be 50 for heads 50 for car 50 for engine & 50 for intake or 200 for car? Most don't run stock intake in SS, & some run after market heads.

Re: Ford Class Racers
Not sure on that. i will look into it.

Re: Ford Class Racers
Evan
I received a letter from Ford Racing when I got back from Indy this year, apologizing for not paying me for Class wins and Runner up finishes, since 2007. They assured me that a Check would be forth coming and thanked me for my continued support and loyalty to Ford. That was over 3 months ago. I appreciate the information that you are passing along, but posting the money and paying out are two different things. Thanks RJ Sledge |
Re: Ford Class Racers
I heard similar details from one of the Ford reps at the SEMA show.....I didn't think to ask if the award was to be broken down into individual components. Hopefully there will still be some loot in the company budget to distribute.

Re: Ford Class Racers
Not that it matters, but are your sure class money or any other auto-manufacturer money is going to be paid from any of the Big Three for the 2009. I wouldn't think so due to the economic state of them.

Re: Ford Class Racers
I agree that would be great to see Ford pay $200.00. However Ford has yet to pay me for class win in Super Stock this summer at the Mile High Nationals. All I recieved was a letter. Ford is the only one who has not paid. It is pretty sad concidering there are so few of us who still race Fords in stock and super stock.

Re: Ford Class Racers
I will pass this thread on to the "new" powers that be to see if we can get these issues resolved.

did not get check for win at richmond

Re: Ford Class Racers
I think that is something they mentioned on C-SPAN yesterday during the congressional testimony.
That is why their requests went from $ 25-$34 billion because they realized they had forgtooen to pay the sportsman drag racers. |
Re: Ford Class Racers
Might as well put me in for my Class win at the Northern Sports Nationals at Columbus. #3139 EF/S.Ron Seibenick.

Re: Ford Class Racers
Skip the middle man and go straight to Congress.

Re: Ford Class Racers
It's great to hear that Ford is rededicating their support to sportsman class racers. This news, and the introduction of the new Cobra Jet Mustang harkens back to an era everyone seems to refer to as the "good ole' days."
Brian Wolfe, the new Ford Racing head, is a racer's racer from way back and is considered a pioneer to us 5.0 Mustang homers. I hope he'll be able to follow-through with all of this in light of the problems the company is facing now. |
Re: Ford Class Racers
I wrote to the Ford Contingency Sponsor Contact a while back to find out if my Mercury was Ford enough for the contingency program & he just told me that NHRA handles that for them & he sent me out a decal pack. Yes, I'm registered on fordracingparts.com but even there it just ask "Ford car & engine" & the series you race in. Anybody with similar instance's ie: mercury freaks.

Re: Ford Class Racers
I was almost a ford racer, but Bill backed out of the deal. I always thought I would look good in a Cleveland. And you know Lil Duane it would have been in the correct car, imagine that!!!

Re: Ford Class Racers
Well Larry, Billy just saved you a lot of money and embarrassment. You COULD have gotten the car, but you could have never run what he ran with it. Hell there cars out there that to this day, can’t run what he ran in 1994. I believe your son was on here talking about turning the truck into a gt car at one point. Probably figured he better not since it would be the same class as me.And i would follow him everwhere. If you’re going to use my name learn how to spell or at least learn to use spell check.

Re: Ford Class Racers
little de-wane had better watch out when he starts mess'n with BIG Larry. Bill may have made the car run fast but Larry could have drove it better.
|
Re: Ford Class Racers
yeah im so scared he really worries me..when was the last time you were in a final Jason? If "Big Larry" is such a great driver tell him to come on down to Gainesville this year and see how he does. Again spell check please...idiot

Re: Ford Class Racers
Sorry about the spelling, Southern spell check said it was Otay.
Bill won Gaineseville just like another Ford racer Dale Shannon. Bill is always a tough round. Pop up pistons like Bill had should help others run faster. |
